CN1/CN2 will forever be my favorite set! The artwork, beasties, and nostalgic feel of it makes me feel like I’m in a Time Machine opening WOTC Pokemon.

For me personally my favourite set has to be native, I really like how they got first nations/native Americans to do some of the artwork which I really love, it also appeals to the people in that community, I am also really looking forward to the SCP set and the Yokai island set, I love anything to do with Japanese folklore as well as SCP, so yeah you can kind of guess I'm really excited for February 2024.

CN and Nightfall are what I dabbled in with MetaZoo. When I think of MetaZoo I think of CN's Loveland Frog and Blue Ox.

I love them all like family expect for ufo, which is like a distant cousin. But those lunchboxes were the best thing MZ had ever put out imo.

My fave handful of sets are Nightfall, CN, HiroQuest 1, Wilderness. I like the idea of Kuromi a TON but I wish there was more variety.

UFO is my favorite! Flatwoods Monster is my favorite cryptid. Even have a Flatwoods Monster tattoo!

Personally, my favorite set is UFO, and that is 100% because that is when I got into Metazoo, found Argos and the Oasis, and had the best card pull of my life. I still love CN because my personal favorite beastie, the fresno nightcrawlers, is in that set, and all of Metazoo has been a blast. While not TCG, the topps collabs have been amazing, as I work to complete each topps set in binders, and Metazoo brought me back to tcg's, and is a way to bring a non-electronic game with the kids and family. All that and the most amazing and friendly online community as well. Who could ask for more?

UFO felt like it had the most hype beforehand, but then fell off a massive cliff as soon as it came out because of oversupply

@@FatBoySlim696 that is absolutely a fair market analysis, and potentially a benefit for those new to the zoo. Heck I just pucked up UFO BBs for 19.99 a piece. Pergaps the low barrier of entry into Metazoo may, in the long term, benefit our hobby. I do think the lower print run of Native is much better but I do hope that, long term, these older sets become more desireable, but for now, we cannot change the past, but we can enjoy Metazoos learning curve 😂

@@cogitoaprendo1017 I think UFO also suffered compared to Wilderness because of the Golden Tickets in Wilderness. I agree that supply will eventually get eaten up over the years. Something that makes opening any pack potentially exciting is knowing you could get a serial card.

Wilderness was the first set I opened on a massive scale. Lots to hunt for like Prism Aura and the Golden Tickets. Also the start of increasing card and holo quality. Native was also exciting since they cut the print runs down and had so many Auras to hunt for with the introduction of Fusion Auras.

UFO is my favorite set for sure. I decided this week that my new goal for my collection is to acquire as many different Flatwoods Monster cards that exist. Starting off strong with…one reverse holo CN2 haha

Nightfall is the best overall set in my opinion. Best secret rare so far, Best production numbers, most recognizable characters for most Americans, Mothman on the box art, First ever White Moth, No flaws in the openings such as clumping or mapping, Gory and mature. There are also many great hits and playable cards from the set. If the values increase over time boxes will have tons of value with Mothman, grim, Wendigo, Ingrid, Adam and old scratch.

UFO is nice, but the theme didn't translate for some reason. Native on the other hand is a banger, and the theme works seamlessly.

Seance was the my first set and it was beyond what I was expecting. The holo pattern even made doubles enjoyable looking for well placed icons within the holos. SCP will be a must buy set. I really should buy some Native but I missed the disclosure 2.0 drops and trying to find that first.
