51-year-old here. I've been watching since Desmond Howard was at Michigan. All of the Harbaugh Years except 2020 were good, some great. The 2018 loss to the Buckeyes and the 2020 season, were the most painful. But I stuck with Harbaugh all the way. I think Rich Rod did not get a fair shot and the Alumni plotted against him. I think Brady Hoke did the best he could but was not the coach Harbaugh was and is. I even remember Gary Moeller and Llyod Carr. The Game Michigan Lost after Bo Schembechler died was great but Michigan came up short. I've been watching Michigan for a long time. I miss the Michigan-Notre Dame Games. Michigan was the Bully of the Big Ten. Glad to see them back on top where they belong. GO BLUE.

Harbaugh caught so much flack for 2017-20. He was given a honeymoon with 2015 and 2016 we got off to an amazing start and an awful spot prevented us from beating OSU so he was cut some slack for that season too. Those first few years were reminiscent of the Bo/Moeller/Carr years but wasn't quite good enough in the present day. He adapted and perfected his recruiting. He always got outstanding talent but some were more dedicated than others. 2021-23 saw not only supreme talent but supreme dedication! Corum could've easily gone pro after 2022 and been a top 10 pick. He came back and that maturity was rampant across the entire team. Ditto Sainristil, Zach Zinter, Cornelius Johnson, as well as the ones staying for next year too! I've enjoyed each year of the Harbaugh era and the past 3 have been heavenly sublime as a Wolverines fan! Unlike the previous 7 years of the RichRod/Hoke eras, save for 2011.

I still feel bad for that 2016 team. They got shafted hard by the refs in their last two regular season games and then Peppers bailed on the team for the bowl game. The last three years makes up for it though.

@@Promisebreaker222 Love Jabrill... He could have played in that game if he wanted. I do not like how and why Jim Harbaugh left Michigan. However, I acknowledge the fact that he left this Michigan Football program in better shape than when he got there. Not in my wildest dreams did I think he would take us from the depths of football hell to a national championship. Maybe my opinion of him isn't high right now, because of the way he left Michigan, but maybe in the future, I'll look back and say hell of a job. 〽️💛💙
@JohnnyV1233 ай бұрын
My guy. He was here 9 years (over twice as long as his previous longest coaching tenure anywhere). Overall, he won 77% of his games. Won 3 straight outright Big Ten championships, which no team has ever done, while beating Ohio State each of those seasons. Won a national championship (something the legendary Bo never did) in an era where that's harder to do than ever. You are entitled to feel how you feel but do not forget the depth of his accomplishments here. The guy does all that and Michigan didn't offer him a big enough contract fast enough while the NFL did. He did right by Michigan and can do what will make him happy.
@aaronharris50693 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyV123 I acknowledge what he did. He left this program in a better place than he found it. I do think he chose his successor wisely in Sherrone Moore. Sherrone has made some good moves since starting out. I think, that we can agree upon. Sherrone Moore will do a fine job. :)

Jordan Lewis interception while fantastic, was a bonehead move. We could have had the ball at the 7 yardline.
@jayjayjames23324 ай бұрын
I don't know if "bonehead" is the right word.. It ended the game. They had no timeouts left and Michigan did not have to anything but kneel whether they took over at the 7 or the 45 (they did actually end up running it 3x to be safe with killing a few more seconds per play but won without getting a first down, 3 run plays got them down to 0, as would kneels if they took 1-2 seconds to kneel each snap). Another 30 seconds, sure. You'd much rather take over at 7 and go up 2 scores at worst with a field goal to basically end the game but maybe he swats it down in that scenario instead.

John o korn was the worst QB in UM history
@hailhailtomichigan19184 ай бұрын
No. I'm sure even you know you're being hyperbolic but just in case you aren't.. Firstly he was a backup. He only ever started due to injury. Brought in because Michigan's QB room when Harbaugh took over was Shane Morris and a Sophomore Wilton Speight. So that alone makes judging him a little unfair. Secondly, he was 3-3 as a starter. Certainly not good but that's a better record as a starting QB at Michigan than 6 other Michigan QBs since 2007 who started at least 2 games (Nick Sheridan, Steven Threet, Tate Forcier, Shane Morris, Brandon Peters and Joe Milton all doing worse). Now, I think QB records are dumb for the most part as a lot depends on the team around you but since 2007 O'Korn had a better career completion percentage at UM than every QB listed above (and Ryan Mallett) besides Forcier and Milton. He also threw more TD passes than Sheridan and Morris. He did have 6 INTs on 191 pass attempts at Michigan which is bad but it was still a better INT to pass ratio than Sheridan, Mallett, Milton, Morris, Peters, Threet, Forcier, Devin Gardner & Denard Robinson. Again, these are all QBs to start at least 2 games at Michigan since 2007. So, I think your only real argument is O'Korn is the worst QB to start a game in the Harbaugh era. Which might be true but I think he's objectively better than Brandon Peters and at least compared to their time at Michigan, Milton wasn't much better, at least not as a passer. But O'Korn clearly wasn't the worst QB to start at Michigan in recent memory. Shane Morris, Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan all come to mind as easily being worse. So no, John O'Korn is not even close to being the worst QB in Michigan history. My spreadsheet of Mcihgian QB starters since 1998 has really come in handy for this comment. Don't be flattered thinking I just did all this research for your comment. I understand the frustration, with a slightly better QB Michigan probably beats OSU in 2017 but other than that game, he was fine. No one else would have really done much better. We kinda sucked in 2017. He gets too bad of a wrap for that and it was over 6 years ago now.
