I never thought I'd actually be blown away by this style-tuning thing. But I've been playing around with it, and man - things can get hectic and crazy and invigorating! Then I started mixing style codes. It's like a much larger creative palete than ever before. A comma before the word? Huh. I've always done the {word,,} thing. Thanks for that. And I didn't think about making shortcuts for them. Great tip! It's great stuff. 👍 Oh, and to anyone new to this and reading this - say goodbye to your fast hours! 😆

hahaha yeah both {,word} and {word,,} do the same thing but maybe putting a comma first might make more sense to people? I didn't know about that until recently either. aaaand I still haven't gotten around to combining styles yet. There is honestly too much to wrap your head around lol

One glaring correction (I made the same mistake in my Twitter tutorial), when you use a tuner the lowest --s value you can use is --s 20. Another thing you might want to consider is just how different initial generations are using the raw model versus the default. Makes a world of a difference. Other than that, solid overview of the basics.

The best of the style tuning feature is the --style random. It's like a gold rush. best used with a single word prompt. it's like crypto mining. You make 100 one word prompts and only add --style random. And out of these hundred prompts you will find a style code that is absolutely amazing!

I'm using your style tuner hack to view the original jobs used to create the images in the Tuner. The Tuner tool obviously applies some sort of stylizing to generate the 64 sets of images, and there are definitely similarities in the styles across different Tuner jobs. I'd love to be able to apply these "mystery styles" outside of the style tuner. Any idea what parameters are used?

so, what would you say is the difference between just finding an old-school style you like and setting a /prefer shortcut, opposed to actually setting a style with the new style tuner? it sounds like its kinda the same? or is there more functionality to it?
@FutureTechPilot
@FutureTechPilot 7 ай бұрын
Hmmm .. it's quite similar in theory, but these style codes work much differently than regular prompting with words. It's kinda hard to explain and I don't even think I understand it yet, but I'm a fan of these new tuning styles because they seem to generate much more unique pictures (more unique than just using words, I think)

Idk, atm this seems just like something you can play around with, but not that useful from practical purposes. I found that the best results I get is when I don't limit Midjourney too much with various custom options and just let it do its thing while sticking to as shorts prompts as possible.

I wonder if there is a problem including the aspect ratio inside the tuner prompt. If you have 2 styles with 2 different aspect ratios and you join the styles - what will happen?
@FutureTechPilot
@FutureTechPilot 7 ай бұрын
I don't think it reaaalllly matters, but when you take the 'test', the images will be in the aspect ratio you tuned for. So if you plan on making wide images, you might as well tune the prompt in a wide ratio. That's all!
