@@TechWithEmilio You are quite welcome Sir. I watch maybe every other video you create. I am NOT an AMD fan-boy however, so I tend to skip anything that refers to them.

You lost me when you said “Celeron” 🙄 and then again when you said 16 GB. Most people would be better off spending a bit more and getting a NUC.

@@petermarin It depends on the use case for the server. I got one for $699 CAD that was perfect for my use cases - although I wish it had Thunderbolt 3 ports. It came with 1TB internal NVME, and I installed a 4TB SSD in the second (unused) NVME slot. I’ve got several VM’s running under ProxMox and about 18 Linux containers. It’s been running since March without a reboot. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Can’t post a link but here’s the description: MSECORE Mini PC i7, Desktop Computer with Core i7-7700HQ, 32GB DDR4 RAM| 1T M2 NVME SSD, 4K@60Hz, HDMI, DP, Dual Display, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Windows 11 Pro

SUPER powerful quad core CELERON? come on dude

Are those VMs running on your celeron ? I don't believe that a celeron can give this much performance...
@tellyjoossens4186

Exactly my thought. I happen to have a similar config from another brand. It already struggles with win10 let alone hosting vm's. Even leaving task manager will already use 15% cpu power and when indexing or Windows defender kicks in the cpu stays maxed out at 100% al the time.

Yep. Has its pros and cons though, it’s great for what you get. The cpu isn’t too bad and much better than older celerons. Ultimately if you spend more you can get something much better.

What you can recommend to install as many virtual machines as possible on pc and not to run this pc at the limit of its capabilities? Soft - just with OS

Besides from the 4 uplinks, how exactly is this any better than a ~$170USD Lenovo m920q? Nice box to throw PFSense and maybe a secondary DC, but definitely wouldn’t be the best option for “Best MiniPC for a Homelab”. Informative video for newcomers regarding homelab standup, but I wouldn’t recommend this unit.

sorry but 'its got 4 ethernet points on the back? Points are things you may use in a card game, or a videogame of old, or even a 'charge point' for your car - or a wifi access point but NOT when you're referring to ethernet ports/adapters particularly when they are intended as clientside adapters. Yes it matters, because it affects your credibility, at least for pros who know the difference. Points as a word has no business being used when describing a server appliance...

Lmao...Im sorry bro...for that same price (and even less now) they have mini pc's with N95s that have 3ghz and a boost speed up to 3.7ghz. This one just seems like trash bub.

@@michaelestrinone2111 Almost any Shuttle slim PC DH4XX or DH6XX series is great and supports up to 64 GB of RAM. Also the HP 2023 Elite Mini 600 G9 supports up to 96 GB of RAM.
