I've been watching van conversions for several months, but you are the best. I enjoyed that you took our tour around the van and didn't jump from place to place. I also need space, and I have to have it look pulled together. As soon as I see a video with a van that is filled with what I call junk, I go to another video. Watching you was a view on how people must see me, but it is who I am. Clutter makes me feel uncomfortable and maybe even dirty. I've no idea how I became this way. I tell others it's because I'm a Virgo and we thrive on organization and cleanliness. I love you and how you describe and explain why you did things a certain way. Thank you for so much information that makes me believe that I can do this without having a formal build out van.

I lived in a van several times by choice and a few times by necessity…it was well before Van life was a thing… back in the 80’s & 90’s. I’ve had both; the no build and the whole conversion with stove oven sink refrigerator…an auxiliary battery and even propane heat with a thermostat. A man in CA lived in it for 7 years! It was a 1976 GMC Chevy Vantura 3500 💗 I loved both vans. I only used the sink in the Chevy…but it was cozy. Business on the outside - army green black out curtains, and party/cozy on the inside with southwest/Indian motif 💗💗 I’m itching to get back out there! Thanks for the video. I used to use an old crock pot insert as my pot to pee in. 😂 I like saying I always had a pot to pee in 😂 Thanks again. Be well❤

One safety suggestion: Your tactical pen (and hammer) for breaking windows in an emergency are not secured. If you have an accident, they will be tossed around inside the van and you won’t be able to find/reach them. I have one window breaker zip-tied to my rear view mirror. It will break away from the zip-tie when it is yanked on. I have another window breaker that has a holder that stick-mounts where you want it. Your organization is great - very helpful information. Where do you do your cooking? Outside or inside? Do you have a camp table, and an outside chair? And what is it that you store in your bin up front? You are so organized Lee. The only thing I would not do is keep propane by cooking oil. Propane or butane should be stored clear of food. 🙏for your great ideas!

Does the armrest on your driver seat rotate vertically? It seems it would be safer and easier if it did.

Yes it rotates but I like it where it’s at. Kinda separates things. I do just fine stepping over. Good exercise.

Rent is too expensive. Motels and hotels are too expensive. I have a home off grid under construction 200 miles from my job in the city. During covid we were 100 percent work from home. Now the schedule is hybrid, partly at home, partly at the office. I got lucky to be able to buy a full size van for $500. The van is at the mechanic for a repair and then I'll be using it happily as my mobile apartment for the hybrid schedule. Its going to be wonderful. Before to do the hybrid schedule I had to sleep in my old broken down SUV and that was horrifically dangerous, terrible, devastating but the van is a life changer. .
