Even if you were getting the mods for free I wouldn't care. You still have to install them yourself, film/edit the videos, and espose yourself to the internet. You show us realistic depictions of what its like to mod a wrx and that is a service to your audience. Great video, great work!

Packaging-wise, everything I've gotten from IIR has been decently packed. Everything is wrapped, then bubble wrapped etc. but there is still "movement" inside the box. So far nothing has been damaged, even though the boxes all came a bit beat up (thanks fedex). From my warehouse days, the best way to package is to make sure that everything is "stuffed together" so when you shake the box, you can't hear any movement.

Looks significantly better than the aftermarket options for the VA's. If it was color matched, I could be fooled into thinking that was OEM.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that found those pop clips to be a huge pain. Especially those 2 in the middle that are inside the scoop. I have short arms and legs. It was not a pleasant time getting those 2 out. Practically stretching my body as much as possible to reach lol. And even then, I couldn’t see, had to feel around.

Can confirm the same for IIR. Used them before I started doing car stuff on my channel when I had my 21 WRX. They are FANTASTIC. Much better than that other company tryin to pimp their triple priced china parts. We know who they are 🤣

More solid content and yeah it seems most these cosmetics at least come from the same factories. Everyone has same backorder then miraculously everyone gets product at the same time to ship out. Maybe one company gets a video out first to grab those quick sales but my aeroflow grill is seemingly identical to others. Not a problem, just good to know. I've ordered from several companies and so far all customer service help/timeliness has been real good.

I am not sure it is the same on these new cars, I've been out of the Subaru game for quite some time. On the old generation WRX's 2002-2003 it was very common for people to try and get the JDM scoop which I believe stood an inch taller. The way the old WRX worked you had a "splitter" which sat inside the scoop and routed the air to the intercooler. A common mistake is when upgrading to the JDM scoop they would not also upgrade to the JDM splitter. In doing so you did get a taller scoop but that additional air was not getting routed to the intercooler because the splitter did not sit tall enough. Again no idea if the new wrx is the same way but you could run into the same issue where it is purely a looks thing.

Nice video!! I believe with the eight screws, four are put on under the insulation panel and four after the insulation panel is on. Also isn’t that panel used to direct airflow back to the top mount intercooler??

With the larger hood scoop is your hood flexing more at high speeds? The stock scoop already makes my hood flex when going +80mph.

Have you had problems with that scoop scratching off your paint? Bought one from AFD 1 week ago, and I now have scratches on the edges. Was told it happens when the car vibrates and cause friction. Kinda regret installing this.
