Muhteşem bir gösteriydi, pek çok olimpiyat açılışı bu törenin yanında sönük kalır. Korona olmasaydı geçen yaz Mısır'a gidecektim ama gidememem belki de daha iyi oldu :) bu sayede gittiğim zaman yeni müzeyi de görmüş olacağım.

The Moroccan and Italian in me just so proud and in tears everytime I watch this since Egypt is so close to my Moroccan side, we share the same North African blood, I can understand the language, the history, the culture, the tradition, the language, enjoy the songs, the drama, the art ... and that make us relate to a lot of things. Also Egypt is close to my Italain side since we are all one great Mediteranean neighbours and family. 🇮🇹🇲🇦🇪🇬 ❤❤👑👑🌷🌷

My family toured Egypt in 1964, before air conditioning. It was an amazing trip. I was 15 years old. No air conditioning. Looking forward to my second trip to Egypt this Fall.

There are another two events which (according to the minister of tourism) are both going to be larger than this event. The earlier event is planned to be in December which is the inauguration of the recently restored "parade road of rams" in Luxor which was used by the pharaohs for all important parades, it connects the Karnak temple with the Luxor temples. The other event will be the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum in 2022 which will be the world's largest museum for antiquities.
