as a lvl 150 i do like a 1/2/1 archer, recurve bow, falchion, black smith hammer, with supplied, fireproof and cat perks. this merc is good for fighting in the frontlines and finishing off already damaged players. and the blacksmith hammer is for helping engineers and building fortifications

I got into it off the Epic sale and I’ve found tons of fun playing the game like a soulslike using the back step perk, bloodlust, no armor, and a rapier. It’s so fun to just dance around people before darting in to stab someone in the head and then dodging away

Finally an Archer build made it into a format like this xD Make archery great again. Hint: just use the cleaver, its a fooking strong weapon and can hit multiple enemies. u can use mule perk to have an extra slot ( beside bandages) to pick up mauls etc to throw them. Lots of fun. Make archery great again, my fookin legends.

I personally love to use 1/2/1 armour, second wind, and Halberd. it has that long reach, and as I high skilled player I love to decapitate 5 people with one riposte :)

I am new and ever since I took up a spear I never went under top 10. Its super rare to have a bad kd ratio. Its a cheap trick but damn. It lets you get used to the game and get away from the fear of 1v1 or heck even 2v1s

There’s actually not that much difference afaik, I think the only thing that changes slightly is combo speed and recovery. Ability to use a shield is a plus though.

As the best invasion / frontline player around I Tyri the level +200 shall tell you what the best possible build is. Full plate, bloodlust, and estoc. You can thank me later.

As mentioned in the video, armour protection can vary depending on the weapon but there is no different to any of the armours within each category so yes purely cosmetic across all light, medium and heavy respectively.

Its just lighting unfortunately, but you get closer to the effect if you use the 'Rough Blind Eye' face in the character menu.

how do you stab and parry using spears? I can only throw it...

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, stab and parry on a short spear (and spear for that matter) is the same as normal stab or parry. You press 'R' if you want to throw, which only works on short spears and other weapons that can be thrown.
