In this video I review all parts you get with the Ruby R7 and the HEX ezCAN and their operations. I also go over the installation on a BMW R 1250 GSA. The installation will be the same on all 1250 GS/GSA and LC 1200 GS/GSA.
Whenever I buy stuff I spend a lot of time researching all my options first. That is how I came across the company ‪@RubyMoto‬

I like the set up 👍🏻 So many times us motorcyclists are unseen by cars. These will definitely aid in preventing that. Nicely done.

Just got around to installing these today. Do you remember if you had to take the beak off or the tank to run the cables back to the hex? I'm trying not to take everything apart to run the cables. Thanks

Awesome, you didn't have to remove all the covers to I stall the bracket

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Similar to you, I also do a lot of research and prefer Ruby's specs over the other popular choices. At the start of the video you shared the multiple ways that you use the Ruby R7's. On Ruby's site, they recommended R7's and potentially R4's for Daytime Running Lights (DRL). I have 2 questions for you: 1) Are you using the Ruby R7's as DRL... along with all of the other features that you illustrated at the start of the video? 2) Are the R7's possibly too large/bright at night? I see that you can dim them, but would you recommend the R7's or the slightly smaller/dimmer R5's? Thanks again!

I still run the factory GS Adventure aux lights. I pointed them more down and turn them on when it's dark. I like how it gives me nice light right in front of the bike. For the R7's I run them all the time with the yellow filters. The Hex ezCAN allowed me to adjust the brightness when it's dark and daylight. The bike has a ambient light sensor and tells it when to change so it happens automatically. I don't think they are too big, and the ability to adjust their brightness is prefect. They're both flood and beam, so I also make sure the beam is at or below my low beam line.

Hello what is your opinion so far on the Ruby 7/Ruby in lights overall. How is there customer service ? There is very little to no info online on these guys. They need to pick-up there social media game... I am on the market for my BMW 1250 2023 for a light kit, Denali, Clearwater etc.... Not opposed to try out the new guys on the block.. supporting new comers with great products is important. Let me know your feedback. Thank you

I bought direct from their website and I've had no issues. They've been on the bike around 15,000 miles. I picked them due to there smaller size and high output. They were cheaper than Clearwater and Denali. I also like they are both flood and spot. The HEX ezCan is a must on our bikes too.

Great video, just wondering how you configured the lights to work as indicators as well as spotlights with the Hex, I get only one option to either select them as spotlights and then the high low beam works or as indicators

It's hard for me to explain what I did as I don't have it memorized. I just remember going through all the setting and messing with things. Perhaps they have a customer help line. I looked through the manual but only found this: 5.3.5 Operating auxiliary turn signals Depending on its configuration, an auxiliary turn signal will be active as a running light or marker light whenever the ignition switch is ON, active as a turn signal whenever the turn signal for that side is switched on, and active as an auxiliary hazard light whenever the hazard lights are switched on. To use this feature, set one or more power circuits to power auxiliary left or right turn signals. The Turn Signals section of the ezCAN configuration software will be shown (below, left). This section of the software is associated with the Left Turn Signal and Right Turn Signal circuit configuration options (below, right).

So he set them as turn signals and not aux lights? But then the 3 sec hold of the turn signal cancellation button shouldn’t turn them on/off though
