Best mountain bike ride in Bend, Oregon

I go out to Bend, Oregon almost every year to shoot the High Cascades 100 endurance race. While I'm there I get to ride a lot of trail. This is a story about my favorite ride there: Metolius-Windigo-Lava-Edison.

Love that trail! The climb out of Lava Lakes is brutal though.

Love riding flagline then going from swampy lakes over to the whoops trails then riding through the area by Phil’s back into Bend and grabbing a brew.

This is one of my favorite trial rides...a true loop...but I do it a little different...and a little longer. A couple of Tips First Tip... Check out the Bend Trails Site to help plan the ride ... bendtrails.org/trail/dinah-moe-humm/ Second Tip To avoid and skip the "Paved Road Ride part" at the start... I would recommend that If your parking at Edison Snow Park for this loop and you are not "shuttling" adding Dina Mo Hum to Kiwia to Wannoga to Viirginia Messner(gravel grinder from Messner to swampy)...Swampy Lakes to the Swampy Dutchman Link... this adds some miles but is worth it but keeps you off the road.

"Disneyworld for Mt Bikers" perfect description. I was just up there, for my first visit. with a couple families and only made one ride. I wanted to know the MUST RIDE for next visit. Great video, thanks for sharing!

I started going there back in the early 90s - before most of the trails were even built - its amazing how much has been added

I am 54 yrs old and I go do a 26+ Mtn bike ride at a trail system that's over an hour and a half drive away. I love doing this ride, even though it's long, I enjoy being out for hours solo. I hope to be able to travel around the States to do rides like this elsewhere.
