When my brother was going through boot camp back in '71, he caught a really bad cold. As a result, he wheezed when he laughed. After a while, everyone started to call him Private Muttley, including the drill sergeant during formation.

So for me that always changed the context of the way he listens to his boss with that grin, like he's really saying to himself and to us "OK what will this guy think of next, yeah I'm all ears this gunna be good lol"
