Hi SOIC Am an 14yo and a fan of your content :) 3 largest IPOs are - 1. LIC having an issue size of 21008.48cr; since date of listing till today is ~ -25.7% 2. PayTM having issue size of 18300cr; one year returns after IPO (from 18 Nov 21 to 18 Nov 22) were ~ -65% 3. Coal India having issue size of 15199.44cr; one year returns after IPO (from 5 Nov 2010 to 4 Nov 2011) were ~ -6.4%

Hi SOIC, Below are my findings for your question. These are the three top largest IPOs as of now. all three stocks had delivered negative returns. 1. LIC issue size 21008.48 CR Listing date May 17th 2022 after one year 30.18% negative returns 2. One 97 communication issue size 18300 CR Listing date Nov 18th 2021 after one year 69.44% negative returns 3. Coal India issue size 15199.44 CR Listing date Nov 4th 2010 after one year 5.32 % negative returns nifty returns for that year was 3.1% and BSE 12. 37% LIC nifty returns 2.8% and BSE 3.90 % PAYTM nifty returns 14.8% and BSE 11 % Coal India

@@bharatkapoor4062 Hi Bharat, I'm purely technical person. KPIT looks good but the IT sector should improve ( not in stage 2) RHIM structure it does not look good to me and Varun exited with profits. All three stocks are looking good. my Top picks are KPIT and Varun

The three biggest IPO in Indian history were 1) LIC - 20,557 Cr may 22 2) Paytm -18,300 crore Nov, 2021 3) Coal India - 15,200 cr Nov, 2020 1) Though LIC has not completed one year from its IPO, the return till date of sensex from the IPO is 11.94% and nifty it is about 10%. 2) 1year return from Paytm IPO - sensex 3.4% and nifty 3.05% 3) 1 year return from coal India IPO - sensex -12.7 % and Nifty -12.89 %

Confused about book giveaway question and the return asked are for next year. LIC was among the top-3 listed companies and it was listed in 2022, so how can one calculate return for 2023? Anyways, here is data for top 2 IPOs: 1) 2010: Coal India: Return in 2011: Both Nifty and Sensex gave return of roughly -25% and majorly driven by RIL which has the highest weightage in the indices. Downturn in banking sector globally also contributed to the fall. 2) 2021: Paytm Return in 2022: Both Nifty and Sensex gave return of over 4%. For nifty, BFSI, which has higher weightage, gave higher returns, although adverse macroeconomic conditions globally dragged overall returns. 2022: LIC

Thanks for the clarification: Return since listing of LIC (17th May): Sensex: 11.94% Nifty: 10.05% Both the indices had a fair share of volatility, majorly attributed to weakening macroeconomic environment globally and domestically as well. RBI, in order to control inflation, had continued to hike Repo Rates, starting from 4.4% in May 2022 to 6.5% as of Feb 2023, leading to tightened lending. Adani saga also contributed to volatility in past few weeks and overshadowed the stellar results by banks, especially PSUs.

My SOIC Book Giveaway Answer: The top 3 largest IPOs in Indian markets history have been LIC, PayTM and Coal India in that order. The biggest IPO, LIC got listed on 17 May, 2022 and the returns from Sensex and Nifty since the listing, till date have been 14.5% and 12.9%. PayTM got listed on 18 Nov, 2021 and Sensex and Nifty barely grew at 3.4% and 2.7% in the next one year. The oldest of the three, Coal India got listed on 4 Nov, 2010 and Sensex and Nifty both degrew, by 16.2% and 16.1% in the next 12 months.

Hey SOIC, Below are my findings for your question. These are the three top largest IPOs as of now. These IPOs were either a PSU or a overvalued loss making tech company. 1. LIC 21008.48 CR One year 30.18% negative returns 2. Paytm. 18300 CR One year 69.44% negative returns 3. Coal India 15199.44 CR One year 5.32 % negative returns nifty returns 3.1% and Sensex 12.37% LIC nifty returns 2.8% and Sensex 3.90 % PAYTM nifty returns 14.8% and Sensex 11 % Coal India
