In this video, I will be presenting another decade in review video, and our topic today will be mystery anime. I hope that this will serve as a way for me to recommend some shows or movies that you might want to check out.If you like the video please like and share. Season 1 is bad...season 2 is in top 10 best anime of all time and one of my favourite anime ever! the difference between season 1 & season 2 is night and day!...now I like to forget season 1 even exists and just talk about season 2

While MHA is hero anime doing hero things other anime like MHA are one punch man, kekkai sensen, zettai karen children, hamatora, tiger & bunny, etc...Well actually i'd say hamatora and tiger & bunny kinda like a mix between MHA + bungou stray dogs

I actually watched Shinsekai Yori, Terror in Resonance and Karneval. I thought those shows were incredible to watch. It's a shame that they were so underrated, but thank you so much for adding them in the list

Yo idk why I haven't been recommended this channel before but fucking hell this is exactly the format of anime recommendations I've been looking for on KZfaq. Not only are your explanations for the recommendations on point, you didn't stop with just one recommendation. You explain others and in good detail too other than just putting the names on the screen. I feel ecstatic just watching the video and it doesn't even include the anime being shown, just the format in which they are presented. If I could've subbed 1 million times I would honestly.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens came out in winter 2018. I found it to be a great mystery anime with a weaving story between multiple groups of people that tied everything together neatly at the end. Definitely a good original action mystery anime to check out from 2018.

Brynhildr in the Darkness (2014) is my favorite mystery anime series of ALL-TIME. As years goes by; its went from "Hated Anime Series" to "Loved Anime Series" to "Cult Hit Anime Series" to "Sleeper Hit Anime Series" to "Breakthrough Hit Anime Series". Sooner or later in the future, it will become a "Classic Anime Series".

Ajin is quite a solid anime for a cgi type of anime. It is well made and the story wants you to keep going and watch it till the end. Another good mistery anime in 2018 is Angels of Death btw

Idk about anyone else but I really enjoyed Sonny Boy, had a great soundtrack on top of being an incredible overall show. Only downside is that the ending is a little boring, but tbh it is a fitting ending.

Mystery is personally my favorite genre because of the satisfaction you get when every piece of the puzzle gets put together and you’ll sometimes can get more satisfaction in a rewatch noticing all the clues being put in. Other mystery anime / manga I can only highly recommend: Witch hunter Robin Shigofumi Zetsuen no tempest Durarara Kara no Kyoukai Shinreigari Pandora hearts (the manga for this one, anime wasn’t good)

If we’re just talking anime without including manga then it’s sth like this 10 Death Parade 9 Bungo stray dogs 8 durarara 7 shinsekai yori 6 odd taxi 5 Kara no Kyoukai 4 Monster 3 Mawaru Penguindrum 2 Monogatari series 1 Shinreigari If manga were included Pandora Hearts would be nr 1 and Umineko would be inbetween Monster and Kara no Kyoukai

I really how people appreciating Oddtaxi. It is really one of the best anime of the year the characters are so relatable and grounded although the ending is cliffhanger but very dark

My absolute favorites are erased, terror in resonance and made in abyss. All of those are unique. Made in abyss is the fantasy mystery terror in resonance is an insane good cat and mouse play between the terrorists and the police and erased is again something else with time travel. Those three I think are my most favorite anime’s of the last 10 years in this Genre.

Honorable mention goes to Detective Conan (English dub: Case Closed). While it technically came out WAY before 2011 (around 1997), this detective anime is so popular in Japan that it beats out One Piece in length, is still going to this day, has at least 3 spinoff anime series, over 26 movies, and even its own theme park. And the show has only gotten better during its 27+ year run. The movies tend to have a bit more action in them than the show, but if you want to see the anime equivalent to Sherlock Holmes, this is the anime for you! Plus, it has probably one of the catchiest main themes in anime.

I think *Tokyo revengers* also deserves to go into best 2021 mystery anime list. Even at final episode,it just opened more mysteries, but again somehow some of the content of it was similar to *erased anime*

My picks (from what I've seen obviously) 2011: Steins Gate 2012: Sadly a year I haven't seen one yet, unless you count JoJo? But that more like part 4 2013: Attack on Titan 2014: Terror in Resonance 2015: Another year I haven't seen a mystery, unless you count Assassination Classroom 2016: If we included sequel I'd say JoJo part 4, but since we aren't, imma say Re Zero. Tho I would like to mention The Kubikiri Cycle, which had a adaptation this year, it is my favorite work of fiction, but the anime adaptation had some problems sadly 2017: Made in Abyss 2018: Another year I haven't seen much 2019: Astra Lost in Space, finally a year I have a different pick than you, but yeah personally prefer Astra above The Promised Neverland 2020: ID Invaded 2021: Haven't seen a single one yet... I'm a year behind on anime

I loved Hyouka and Moriarty the Patriot. These were true pieces of art. Hyouka has everything, light romance, comedy, high school, that mystery aspect, fantastic art and animation, and subverting main characters. It's sad the series has stopped because of the passing away of the studio from arson. I would like for it to come back, but it might be different with a new studio/team and it would be controversial for someone else to pick it up generally. Moriarty was fantastic, it really turned around the Sherlock story to a story about the villain. This is a manga adaptation, but it expressed way more than what was in it, they even went for a light BL or Bromance route with the characters. I can't wait to see more of Moriarty.

If anyone is gonna watch Made In Abyss just know it's not an easy watch. The first few episodes are definitely a red herring for the rest of the season. Not gonna spoil anything but I will say I have been watching anime since the 90's and this show affected me hard. Season 2 was announced for 2022.

fun fact: to me it seemed like OVA 6 of opm in s1 it was like among us, in s2 it was like project winter, two of the deception, betrayal mystery type multiplayer game. people say its talentless nana & kanata no astra is like among us but we already have that parodied out but opm

The fact that Made in Abyss still doesn't have a second season is ridiculous. It is one off the best shows I've ever watched, but not having the story concluded is the worst. Death Parade is such a good show that doesn't get enough praise.

Im still searching for the same high MADE IN ABYSS gave me. I had multiple moments where I just stared in the distance for what I’ve seen to settle in and now I’m just waiting like an addict for new chapters. I’ve never found anything close tho :( even on this list

So far, Link Click is definitely the best mystery anime I’ve watched this year. It’s a Chinese anime with just 11 episodes (for this 1st season) but it was absolutely mind-blowing and the thought of not knowing what might happen in any given episode definitely kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Plus, the opening song is LIT! It’s such an underrated series, I hope more people watch it.
