I vote for the luminox, I like the more traditional look and it has better antiglare coating and thinner. I like Fortis myself, mechanical Swiss😍

Aside from my firearm collection I also have about 140 knives and 2 watch collections. One is beater/budget watches which are mostly G-Shocks.(16 of them) Then i have my luxury watches that range between $1,500-16,000.(14 of those) Watches is a very expensive hobby and addicting. I love my G-Shocks, they are so tough, look cool, and very reliable. There are certain places I won't wear my luxury watches to and the G-Shocks are perfect to fill in there. Nobody is gonna try to rob me for my G-Shock but they might try if I'm wearing one of my Rolex, Omega, or Panerai watches.

Have had a G shock for a couple years now solid as a rock for the price.

Looks wise I like the Luminox! I went with the Citizen promaster eco version which is ISO certified. "Very traditional"

Dive watch that is always accurate, solar powered and multiple functions. A watch that is not accurate is simply not a reliable watch. The Casio wins. You can scream all you want about the Sellita movement, I dont think that movement is COSC and so its +/- 15 seconds a day. For a life and death situation, the Luminox is useless.

I’m not tactical enough. I just run an iWatch. I can tell it to remind me to do things!😂😂😂

I own several luminox watches. My first I bought back in 2004 before heading to the Sand People land. And then bought two in 2019. A dress one Atacama dress field and Bear Grylls land series with paracord band. My original Seal Diver that's about 20 years old still works. Both of the new ones are broken lol. Also Gshock is pretty reliable they are ugly but almost never break besides the band. I also have an original from about 2003 barely works but it was like $30-40. Great investment lol

G-Shock Master of G Rangeman GPR-B1000TF-1JR and the functions are more applicable in AK you can get the non anniversary version for under 800 bucks. Every high end G-Shock I've purchased in the last few years came in a steel can.

What’s your take on the recently released G-Shock GWG-B1000. I own one and although it’s big it’s so nice and feels like pure luxury robustness. I like a tactical watch with big face/hands. Quick glance and the times legible. Tough solar, multi-band 6, sapphire crystal and great functions and Casio App support. I’ve struggled with the compass but if out on a real mission id carry a “real” compass. It also looks fashionable if that interests you. I went for green one and its beauty. Red strap one is real nice but then the watch itself is mainly black. I’ve too many watches so need to sell a few and try myself a luminox and also a frogman. It’s the only master of G I’ve not got. If you like a smaller watch and digital then I’d highly recommend the Rangeman. Never had to change a g-shock battery in my life.

i am a sucker for a G shock. i dont spend a lot of time in the water so i opted more towards the master of mud series with the gwg 1000 1a1.

I also agree that luminox has a love hate relationship with people I got a luminox black ops 8400 series and a gshock mudmaster gg1000 I love them both sometimes I can’t decide which to wear but with my luminox my lume is straight ass it hardly glows but it was given to me so idk how long the guy had it before me also I can tell ya one thing they aren’t wearing Breitlings in the field on missions 😉

It’s like comparing Sig and Glock. They are both great choices

Ill stick with my Marathon GSAR after many tours its held up the best and outlived all my Luminox watches.

Main issue with automatic watches is that it requires service after a few years. On the other hand, Gshock can run for decades…

Had the Luminox Navy SEAL about 5 years ago. It lasted about two years then the seal compromised and the face fogged up then the movement stopped. After two years. Luminox said sorry, it's out of warranty. Never again. No love for Luminox.

I really don't get the appeal of gshock. They're way over sized and a lot of them are ugly as sin (this one).

no one with any military experience in a tactical setting would wear that Casio. It's TOO thick and would be hung up and banged up on everything as you try to shoot, move and communicate. I am a fan of G-Shock legendary reliability, but this is a miss tactically.

They are all fluff. Most seals wear a basic gshock or Garmin. And maybe a Rolex sub at the bar. Luminox is a joke.

Luminox by a mile. G-Shock are good but very ugly.

Would never pay that much for a watch. Don’t wear jewelry/watches anyway.
