On the top of this mountain we recently acquired new ground that includes not 1 but 3 historic Gold Mines. After the pleasant surprise of being able to get into this remote spot, we discover the mines are far more than we expected, with amazing looking ore, and lots of it.

Dan, You are a Beautiful Human Being! As a kid, we covered every old gold mine between Baker City, Sumpter and Prairie City Oregon. Now I am a retired Neuroscientist. I wish I could come up and whack rocks with you for a few days. Thank you! for taking me back to my treasured times with My Dad! I miss him dearly. Respect!

Dan among many others have inspired me to take up panning as a hobby. There is nothing better than spending the day on the river panning. My grand total to date is 1.03 grams. Hahaha! 😂 The time spent searching is where the true value is at!

I really like that you can spend time with your Dad! My Dad died in 1982 when I was 23 years old. We never had the chance to become friends. It's a regret that I carry. He ended up with Cancer. Sadly, it leached all of the good out of him before he was diagnosed with it. I have a hope of seeing him again. This is in the Bible, if anyone wants to talk about this send me a message....

Love your channel, Dan! ...yep, you can find gold on the top of a mountain! I found a red rusty pile of clay and gravel that got dumped into the middle of a dirt road to block it. I scooped up a bucket of the stuff and found actual pickers in it, along with the tiny chunks and the usual dust. The guys on the road crew didn't know what they were dumping! It was in a gold bearing part of Maine, USA. It's true, gold's where you find it.

I love these videos where I get to learn something and it always a bonus when you pop comes along. He reminds me of my dad. Snarky humor that could be so subtle that it hits ya twenty minutes later and just drops ya. Plus, Doug knows how to keep a pressure pump runnin in top condition.

That was an absolutely fantastic explore as usual Dan. I live in an area of England that has been extensively mined for ironstone and there are also several jet mines/out crops (n. Yorks) so it was good to see a faimiliar looking material. Tip: watch at 75% speed if your relaxing it's almost undetectable and obviously lasts longer 👌🏻
