i will always defend the wii u. it was literally ahead of its time. it had its own fucking social media and it had netflix, youtube, hulu, (pretty much every streaming and media site) a internet browser, and so much more. also the gamepad was something no other console has done. i thought it was the coolest thing as a kid and i still do, a freaking screen on ur own controller? thats awesome! it also had its own tv remote. the quality of life to this console is insane. might not have sold much but thats only because the advertising was shit and people thought the gamepad was an accessory to the wii or thought the console was too similar, but it really wasnt. i just think this console is the coolest shit ever.

Also it should’ve been more powerful so there would be more third party games, like the switch has so many first part games that it doesn’t really need it, but I guess that’s just because they don’t have 2 separate systems

i agree, still love to play on the wiiu, that gamepad is such a wonderfull tool to play, completely underrated console, i wish that the next switch would have a gamepad to atach onto the joycons when playing on tv.

This would definitely be the coolest special edition thus far, y’know, if it actually had the game…hopefully it gets updated so that the switch comes with the game too??? it’s so odd there’s not even a preorder code or nothing, especially when the price is the price of a normal special edition WITH a game inside. I don’t really know. Anyways this is a really cool unboxing, and it is a very pretty switch

I never got a good look at the special edition OLED model, and I have to say it's one of the nicer looking designs I've seen. Most special edition consoles have a a print that really sticks out but the Splatoon print is subtile by using just a slightly darker ink of the same colors. It just doesn't feel as in your face and I like that, if it makes sense.

The Wii U was such an underrated console. I had so much fun with my friends, and is the reason I like so many Nintendo products, the original Splatoon is also my favorite version.

I was actually choosing between this and the Pokemon Violet & Scarlet variant for my OLED upgrade but ultimately chose the former. I could simply buy either a white or neon blue/red varieties to save money but they both feel stale and I own a Blue/Red Joycons already so I splurge a tiny bit on the Splatoon 3 colorway. Arguably the best LM edition OLED so far IMHO. I'm not really a Splatoon fan but I thought the design was cool and hip. I forgot to mention that I really love your unboxing vids. Every unboxing feels cathartic, like therapy. It was bad of me for not subscribing until today! Haha!

I’ve been using a V1 switch because I’m going to sell my switch lite and my sister doesn’t use what’s basically her switch much so I’m using it and yeah the battery life is terrible on it

Fun fact: When I got my switch in 2017 I was just too excited I didn’t even really look at the box I bough, and I apparently got the Special Splatoon 2 Edition of the Switch haha But I will say that this Splatoon 3 Special Edition OLED Switch is FIRE! I might have to upgrade lol

Sad to think no game, I imagine it was part of the plan when they thought about release schedules, but if they include a game it pushes the price up even more. Whereas 2 years ago this would have included it at the same price but inflation is affecting so much

Yes! I traded in my white joycon OLED and tons of games for this and ended up paying $10! I'm so happy to have it! I just really wish it came with the game. It should only be $300 since there's no game.
