For almost 35 years, when things get tough, I hear Buddy Revell's voice saying "You didn't even try. How does that feel?" and I know I'd rather get my butt kicked than not even make the attempt.

Personally I love this film..the whole stylized aspect of it , the way it was filmed is part of its charm as well. Recently On Quinten Tarantino's podcast he even quoted a line from this film ,lol

Tony is a jackass. I'm assuming the implication being he was "too good' in high school to watch this movie? Absurd. The problem may be that this movie was a little closer to home than he would like to admit.
