@@jayslime4941 honestly, if you’re able to surround Ben with shooters and play five-out, he can play a super-Draymond role where he facilitates for everyone and plays excellent defense while not having to share the paint with Embiid. As he gains his confidence back, you could start developing his shot. I could see some teams buying into that potential future since he’s 24 and under contract for awhile

@@yuh-fv7ds he’s a much better draymond, he has an array of post moves and hook shots , literally an elite dribbler for his size , and good passer and defender. I’ll still take him over majority of the league I don’t care what anyone says. He just needs a coach to tell them they believe in him and they need to put veteran players around him like pj tucker who will be in his face and don’t care about his all star achievements . Chris Paul would be a good mentor for him in the off season .

If you didn't look at the stats you'd swear he's an MVP-level talent. What's crazy is that he is but he limited by his lack of confidence in his own abilities. He was supposed to be the heir to LeBron's throne. Still a tremendous talent and worthy of the DPOY but Ben should be averaging 25 ppg, 10 boards, and 8 dimes by now.

agree but he is the 3rd maybe 4th option on philly. Embiid, Harris, then a three from Curry/Green/Korkmaz, then Ben. Actually they never really run anything for Ben at all!! Maybe 1-2 sets the entire game. That's why most his points come from transition/putbacks etc. Even if he plays with Shake in the 2nd unit, Shake is primary option in that unit! But all fans can see is "he needs a jumpshot" He'll never get monster points like he did against utah unless he plays on a team that is his own - like Giannis. But what would you prefer individual accolades or chance to win it all?! I know what Ben Simmons wants, thats why he sacrifices -he wants to win. Its amazing to think that coming out of college people questioned his desire to win and he was not known as a defender at all! The growth to that side of his game has been remarkable. Now he is clearly one of the best defenders inthe entire league.

Not in this situation rn, but if the Sixers had had a better coach and a better GM by the time they drafted Simmons, this team would've been so much better. Hinkie would surround Ben and Joel with better players for sure. With the amount of assets he collected. And a better coach. Ben and Joel have never had a good coach that understood the dynamics of the game and the strengths of his players combined. Even the UW Markelle Fultz would do wonders with them. But playing Tobias with Ben and Joel is not a great idea. They need a scorer and Tobias ain't that. Tobias is a good player but only last season he looked like it. And even so not giving what the team needed. His contract is horrific. Ben as a forward, in any team he gets to, is going to be so good if they have some decent guards. He's a fast break monster, a menace on the defense and a master at reading the game. He's just too spoiled. The Sixers also shouldn't have given him that contract. All of the success that the Sixers failed to accomplish the years prior was due to Brett Brown/Doc Rivers, the Colangelos and Elton Brand. And now Simmons has to go before Tobias and Doc. If the trade is not what it should be then also Joel's prime will be wasted. Such a sad chain of events ruining the Sixers championships aspirations...

He’s shooting with the wrong hand. Most of his dunks, layups, hook shots, passes, and blocks are with his right hand. There is no reason he should be shooting with his left.

@@Brian-bk3fz Embiid can space the floor. If Ben would attempt shots it changes things dramatically. Even if he misses it opens the floor and makes defenses honest. Embiid is a post player as well but he doesn’t need to be in the post all game. He’s a 38 percent 3 point shooter. Ben just needs to attempt shots.

3 team trade. Simmons and a pick to Indiana. Siakam and Brogdon to Sixers. Levert, Thyblle, and Maxey to the Raptors. I’m not sure if the money works but I think it’s pretty even.

I like that Ben Simmons is more aggressive this season. But will he become a consistent & dangerous shooter from the mid range & three point line? Also will he be a dangerous post player?

dude, this is the his least aggressive season since entering the NBA. career low in FGA, FGM, and FG%. hes regressed everywhere offensively. His defense is the only thing that has improved since entering the league.
