From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

One of the scariest villains in any comedy, You have to work hard to have an audience feel someone may actually get murdered in a sitcom like B99, but I found myself genuinely worried for Jake.

Jake has the best chemistry among all the villains with The Pontiac Bandit. I love how Doug forced the friendship on Jake and eventually they became friends lol. The “forbidden” friendship 😂

I just noticed at 2:12 that Boyle - just after having spilled coffee on the Vulture - somehow managed to get up into the precinct before him. Gotta admire that he's not even out of breath, and still had time to stand around idle. That's dedication.

When season 8 came out, I was hoping for an episode where the Vulture finally gets what he deserves but nope. Instead he became captain of the 69th precinct and we never heard from him again.

The chemistry of these two characters really shoes from the actors in real life, given that just like Jake and Gina, Andy Samberg and Chelsea Peretti also were friends with each other from childhood. And thats coming from someone who hates Gina Linetti to her core

@@sweetmarasme I appreciate that she doesn't care what people think of her, but she doesn't care about hurting people's feelings (Amy and Charles at every turn, Terry about his kids) not only that she's careless, selfish and incredibly self absorbed (Captain Holt's house party explains all of these points)

Figgis really felt like wasted potential, he was supposed to be this massive bad guy that even Pimento was scared of, some sort of dark looming cloud they set up really well for a long while so threatening Jake and Holt had to move to Florida for months. Then in the end it's just some guy and like 3 goons with some handguns showing up for the final fight, I get he didn't know the whole squad was there but for such an intelligent, dangerous criminal I really expected him to act smarter, bring a proper crew with some serious weapons and have a massive finale. Instead the final fight felt super low stakes and like Figgis had been dumbed down.

I agree but I’m pretty sure the FBI lady said they took a bunch of his guys into custody so he may not have had access to all the man or fire power he normally would’ve. Plus the show is a comedy so unfortunately we won’t get truly ruthless or dangerous villains. *whispers but that’s what Ao3 is for
