Nice video, very enjoyable. CHANEL is some of the oldest makeup in my collection and a few colours still have my heart. I always thought each year it would be great if they came out with one fan favourite of years gone by. 🦋

Aww Jennifer, your dad reminds me of mine. He was engineer, and then he worked in restoration,you know to restore all these antique styles, like churches, and our house was like museum, full of bronze chandeliers, etc.., He built our house too. They definitely know how make to last , and insulate, so we never had ac in Europe, but it never got hot inside😜 .. I never liked Chanel highlighters, well maybe from the Le blanc Pearl one. But the Les Symbols , I love all 3 . Right now , it’s hot in SF, and for bronzy look, I wear warm gold one. It’s great I wear all over , on body as well. The les beiges primers yes, they are amazing. Bronzer was nice, I got M, but the color is not warm enough. But the cream bronzer , the mini ones, without coconut oil, love that. And OG water fresh foundation. Lipsticks I like quite a few. Your idyl pieces are beautiful. I have only Apolo chain , I did dyi project, and attached my De beers rose gold diamond cuff. But so many pieces are on my wish list as well. Have a blessed day🙏❤️

It's only been over the last few years that I've really took notice of Chanel and its releases. I would pick up a palette here and there and I do love their mascara. Yet, they have surprised me with some great products recently that have definitely made me very happy. The Byzance Quads blew me away due to being so very different from what Chanel usually release, which is why I bought all four. At Christmas I bought the Quint, the dual highlighter and a lovely liquad lipstick in a bronze/gold shade. As I have so much make-up already, I have to keep some restraint and I have for the most part. When the Northern Hemisphere Spring Collection was released, (that's where the blue liner came from Jen), I couldn't keep my eyes off that shifty highlighter that looked white in the compact, yet shifted to a pink and blue when on. It's been very handy for using on th eyes too. I also added another Balm Essential in Mermaid Glow which had a slight glittery finish, unlike the others from the range. I'm happy with the Healthy Glow Cream in the Rose shade and enjoy wearing it without foundation and only patting some powder over it. There are still some items on their website that I have my eye on too, yet I'm still trying to stay true to my 'low-buy with exceptions' which I faild terrily with. Whilst Dior has lost many customers, Chanel has lifted its game. Apart from those ridiculous over-sized products and the occasional cash grab, I have definitely noticed them improving. Love those earrings Jen, yet I would have to have them set with real diamonds instead. I like the thought of nature creating beautiful gems and man leaving well enough alone.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

I love the oversized chanel bronzers. I went through a whole one and would love to repurchase. Fingers crossed they bring them back!

So true about those blushes. Lancome has been similar in my experience. They made a shade called Lilas eons ago and I bought backup on it. Still have it and still wear it, flawless formula.

I actually have a bunch of the blushes from back then too and they are still in perfect condition honestly 🤍

I have everything Chanel you showed here. I picked up extras of the primer because, as we all know, Chanel discontinues some of their best products. I love love love the old Chanel blushes. I have a large drawer of them that I will not throw out because they are so good and shades are unlike anything on the market. I also have every shade of the old eyeshadow pencils and eyeliners that I won’t throw out either. I have those Chanel cream gel eyeshadow pots too and tested them again the other day and they are so good, even now. I was comparing to similar new products and was surprised that they were as good as anything new today.

I wish I could pull off blue. With green eyes, I feel like I'm limited to purples if I want color. I still have and use the souffle mocha blush. I don't know how old it is though, 20 or 30 years old maybe. I also hope they bring back the primers. I was only able to get my hands on the icy white. I so enjoy all your videos!

i love this video..i love the older products!!. i have been collecting chanel for years and years...since i met Guy Lento..(artistic director )...who did my makeup years ago...The first time he said ...andy....no you cant look in the mirror....after getting to know me year after year visiting chicago..he was so easy with me...he was amazing!..he passed away last march......i still adore my blue quads...i gravitate to them...im even hoping chanel brings out the aqua color in a single...that was in the rivage this past spring....i learn so much from you...i look forward to all of your videos...andy i chicago

Thank you Jenn for showing your collection. This video reminds me a lot of the good oldies of Chanel makeup. Do you remember that there were compact lip glosses in black and white shade for color mixing purpose? Also, the most stunning is again a compact of cream shimmer in gold and silver, you can put it on your eyes or lips.... Both were packed in a classic Chanel compact with mirror and tiny brushes... I miss them very much!

Great roundup! I completely agree with you about the primer. It is exceptionally good I like to just wear it alone with some of the Chanel loose powder and a little bit of concealer when I just don’t feel like wearing a lot of make up.

I love Chanel as a brand but all of my favorite products are discontinued: aqualumiere formentera 87 lipstick - do you know if this color is back in a newer version or if there is a dupe? Nude lip liner - Mordore 05 Is there a dupe? And bronzer: Soleil Tan de Chanel Terre Epice 62 Chanel’s staffers must be contractually required to reinvent beloved products no matter how successful and lucrative they are. It’s something that caused me to explore other brands. Great post! Please forgive the fact that discontinued Chanel products are a sore subject for me😞

I love quality too it’s the only thing I really look for in products besides some ingredients. It’s so amazing 20+ year old Chanel products are still in excellent condition. I’m amazed! I wish I could have bought them 20 years ago but I was to young to buy nice products back then and I don’t really trust eBay sellers or anything 😅 so I’ll live vicariously through you lol 🥰😊

I wish Chanel would bring back the Aqualumiere SPF 15 lipsticks. Nobody seems to have SPF lipstick anymore. I still have #40 in Tahiti, but I am not sure if the sunscreen in it even works. Lipstick smells ok and looks good. Sadly, I have allergies to base metals like nickel, I can only wear gold 18k or higher, but even 18k is only good for a few hours. My lobes turn red and itchy. All I wear now are medical-grade Titanium studs, so few choices in Titanium, I wish someone would make more.

It will be a sad day whenever I run out of my old formula jersey blushes, and my original formula glossimers! 😭

Yes, the primer is amazing. I'm finishing my second Light Copper (I just wear it on my whole face without foundation). I bought a couple more as back ups. I'm interested in the new cream eyeshadows coming out for Summer as well. Of course, I'm also trying to use up some of my 10+ year old cream shadows. Like you, I have found that most of them are fine. Great video! I'm excited to see Chanel come out with more purple or green products in the future.

And the quality on all the older things are so much better made. It’s true. Edit. I can’t wear choker style necklaces, unless they are light like what you are wearing I have a top bone in neck and anything laying on it causes pain. Crazy and ugh. I’m still driving my 2010 Ford Escape. Bought it new when it came out the Winter of 2009. Absolutely no issues with it 15 years later. Interior and exterior in very good condition. I see no reason to get rid of it. 😊 Love my older Chanel blushes. ❤ Sometimes “new and Improved” isn’t so improved and is actually a down grade. Not sure why the companies do this. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Chanel Les beiges primer is the same as their La base glowing primer. Just the shades are different, but the difference is unnoticeable anyways.

Hi Jen, You look great today! 🙂The blue shade, the blush and the lipstick colour suit you very nicely. I have Brun et Rose (got a backup as well😁) and and still love the quad. Even I am not a fan of single eyeshadows I like the ones that just came in. Chanel has more nice foundations but they put too much fragrance and I don’t like that. I know that most of the luxury brands do the same and that’s one of the reasons I prefer Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. On the other hand I love Chanel Sublimage concealer and is my HG. Their lipsticks and lip pencils are good too. I hope they will improve the eyeshadows and blushes. Regarding the blue eyeshadow Hermes will come with a limited edition blue eyeshadow. Due to the high price and 0 PR probably just few people will do a review and I hope you will be one of them. 😁 Thanks for sharing!🙂
