Ice Phoenix is an anchor, if Chun-Li failed. A lot of times he didn't even use Dark Phoenix. Chun-Li was always a good character. Her only flaw is that she does really bad damage. And she takes serious execution and effort if that even counts as a flaw. She gets in easily and quickly, she builds amazing meter, her normals are great and once she has you blocking, she can open you up just as easily as Magneto in that same situation, if not better, her instant overheads are literally instant, it's deadly. She has no problem landing a hit unless you're using one of the few characters more mobile than her. The problem is she has to land multiple hits, in a game where most top tiers only need one.

He woud actually play regular phoenix and wreck people with her. When they got the snap back on her and brought her into a match. Ryan could actually use her rush down/magneto like pressure and take people out with her and never really was scared of being touched. Thats how good his pheonix was then you had to deal with his morrigan which rivaled chris G or better. His Pheonix was better than Fchamps and his chun lees mobility was insane and his defensive was up there. He had infinites for all his characters even a pheonix one.@@Chun-believable

michael cole the extremely high damage and X Factor allowing you to kill entire teams from a single mistake. With that being said it's shocking how many characters ended up being used at the end of Marvel 3s life

HallyuOtaku Hey. I know this comment is late, but I noticed no one has responded for you. It mostly depends on the character, but for the most part, the characters have some of the same moves but the properties of the moves are different (or the inputs are different) ex. Chun-Li’s lightning legs is mashing a button in Umvc3, but it’s FQC kick button in MvcI, and you can press HK to cancel it into a groundbounce move. Most characters have a couple added command moves, but either different or fewer normals because of the way the buttons work in Infinite. Hope this helps. =^)
