@@handsoffmycactus2958 There was a period under Chris Tarrant's later years, after it started in the US version, with limited time to respond on each question, like 15-45 seconds depending on far you got. It wasn't very popular though, at least in the US they decided at the same time to only invite cretins who could barely manage it and would have had a panic attack if they were on Jeopardy. I got the impression the people still watching the Tarrant version in the UK preferred the slow pacing and didn't like the timers.

He was on QI once upon a time and he said rude words were a very common occurrence in his household. He nicked the idea of only having words you could define from Stephen Fry himself! However he did say words that are not in common usage (like QI ironically) are not allowed in his house.

gurney flap- the up right verticle edge on the rear wing on a race car, often also refered to as the wicker. the gurney flap is easily removed and replaced during a race to change down force on the rear of the car by adding a taller gurney flap, or reducing by removing or installing a smaller gurney flap / wicker.

10:28 just saying, Gurney was too tall to fit into the GT40 so they made a bubble for his helmet - the 'Gurney Bubble'. The Gurney Flap was invented by Dan Gurney and used on his cars from 1971 onwards, a small piece of sheet metal installed on the rear wing that was almost perpendicular to the airflow, increasing downforce for cornering while also improving airflow on straight lines.
