What is Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) about?
Beca (Anna Kendrick), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) and the Barden Bellas are back to pitch slap the world! After a scandal threatens to derail their last year at Barden, the three-time defending champs worry that they've lost their harmony for good. With one chance left at redeeming their legacy, they must face off against the toughest competition on the planet: German supergroup Das Sound Machine and fight for their right to win at the World Championships of A Cappella. All of the DSM performances just give me chills every time I watch them Better than the Bellas imo (not that I didn't like the Bellas performances) They have such a commanding presence it's insane

The Pitch Perfect movies are *really* bad at making it seem like the Bellas deserve to win the championships. Or at least in the first two (I've yet to see the third). The Treblemakers and DSM just had outstanding performances and the only reason the Bellas ever end up winning is 'cause they do something that's surprising. Ie 1, they did something extremely different than what everyone expects of the Bellas, and in two, they used an original song *and* called up Bellas from generations past but honestly? The performances were great but not exactly as good as either the Treblemakers or DSM's performances. I suppose in 1, they had a better chance of at least tying so it makes more sense, but in 2? Nah, DSM really killed it.

IMO, the first DSM song was miles ahead of the second. The second wasnt as unison. Don’t get me wrong, they were both amazing, but the Bellas had better chances after the worlds performance

Well its the reason you enumerated. DSM and Treblemakers may be better than them but the Bellas got them in an element of surprise, its part of the competition.
