fun fact= Altman was resistant to the marker's signal and tried to stop the necromorphs, but he got assassinated by two Earthgov agents that were mind controlled by the marker and martyred to create unitology. Is in one of the books, i think.

If I remember correctly, The two agents were ostensibly his "Friends", and specifically left him trapped in a pit with Infectors to convert him into a Necromorph

The editing proficiency in this is something any editor would wanna attain. This makes these playthroughs so accessible, it's gigabrain. Compared to the attention span of the usual youtube frog, you can't explain. But when it's put together like this? It's like drinking champagne. I could get higher off this video than I would if I huffed propane.

The weapons of Dead Space are something special. Good sound, good feel, good variety, good attention to detail. Personal favorite is the contact beam for just how excessive it is. A handheld particle accelerator, a device that we use today as the cutting edge of research, a device we use to create the most dangerous substance in the known universe; antimatter, the stuff so volatile that a pound of it is equivalent to 19 megatons. While nowhere near that, the contact beam does in seconds what the largest particle accelerators today do in hours it and is mass produced. What does humanity use this monumental power, the ability to hit something so hard it turns into antimatter and explodes? They use it to break big rocks. Really sells just how inefficient humanity gets.

Theres alot of good moments in this LP from.: - The talk about Balut; - Woolie not knowing the rules, seening what the rules are and then ignoring them for rest of the game; - Woolie being sus as fuck from Hammond just cause he was stressed as fuck and general bullying... even thou The Bitch Kendra was even more SUS; - The Church Hate segments; - Ripper-Chan~ being the best and worse weapon; - The panic shots when shit hit the fan; - The Toilet scene. I do hope in DS2 we get to see him play around with the Pulserifle cause that weapon would be great for his style of play. EDIT.: I forgot teh most important one. Missing Audio and Text Logs, many who were very visible... its a shame they missed those due to their setup or whatever the fuck was going on, since it would give lore and some furthers clues on whats going on. Especially after the talk on 1:14:58 ... had they know that turning yourself to paste isnt enough would make everything alot darker.

@@warzone822 I don't think there is a canon amount of time, just lots of guessing. Since we're with Isaac for the whole game, minus him travelling on the trams to different locations, he could just be there for however long it takes the player to complete it - so anywhere between 8-12 hours (not adding the extra time for tram travel) depending on the player. Definitely less than a day though.

Was I the only one who pinged on Kendara's betrayal from the start? Girl was trying WAY to hard to throw Hammond under the bus so early on.

I never liked her from the start but didnt really get the traitor sense till later.: - She at the start trys to boss Hammond abit, even thou boosting the signal seems like a no-brainer thing to do, its the fact that she still tells it like an order; when Hammond is the one whos in command of the mission, not her. - Him coming back online when the ship crashes, after he made his "Fuck the mission" speech, and we only having Kendra msgs for a while, made me abit suspicious. - Kendra often tried to throw him under the bus to the point of trying to get him killed. She also acted way to calm in the messages, seeming less stress, while Hammond was cleary stressed as hell, he nearly died at the start in the ship crash, lost 2 of his people, and has to survive with a basic outfit and basice Pulse Rifle, agaisnt enemies he knows lil about and just continue coming after him and the others. Kendra didnt feel like a traitor at the statr, but she was one massive bitch. Thank fuck she gets it rough, but i wish it was slower. From all the charatcers, I still think Hammond got it worse in terms of death.

the truest horror was not the loss of self as an alien psychosis invades the ship and mutates the corpses. it's not the echoey industrial sounds. it's not even the body horror of the enemies and how they propagate. it's the chapter 9 backed up toilet spraying all over you.

I was wondering why the game footage looked a little strange but I think it got rendered at 60fps with interpolation or something despite the game footage being in 30 since they played on Xbox with the backwards compatibility. if any genre should be behind a dead space trailer it should be some death metal, Sickening Metamorphosis by Cannibal Corpse would work (maybe Return to Flesh if you want something slower)

The lessons we learned along the way: 1. Upgrade 1 weapon so that 75% of your ammo pickups suck 2. You can actually pick up the glowy things. 3. LEVEL VIGOR

If you never pick up any other weapons then it feels like ammo is skewed towards the weapons you own. I had so much plasma cutter and pulse rifle ammo I had to store it to fit in healing items and the odd semiconductor here and there.

@@Darkon2050 absolutely, it's why I don't actually like pure plasma cutter runs that much, because you wind up DROWNING in ammo. But if you only upgrade 1 weapon and you carry 4, then 75% of the shots you take with any weapon will barely do damage and you'll get ganked hard in the mid to late game.

I refuse to believe nicole was dead at least until the end of the game, because during that sequence where you have to protect her while she hits the switch, you can actually shoot and kill her. only human that follows that game logic.
