Hey guys, Siv here. Something new I wanted to try with this Best Of was the "Last time on Elden Ring" recaps. Each snippet not only captures a past event, but also hints at something yet to come. It's my way of priming the audience before each episode. ~Act 2 recap~ Bodied by the Tree Sentinel: They'll be coming back Margit talking that long after "dying" : He's not done yet Alexander talking about a combat festival : Referring to the Radahn Festival The Three Fingers : Shabriri and the Frenzied Flame ~Act 3 recap~ Blaidd talking about the falling star : Ranni's questline, and Blaidd's fate Melina talking about the thorns: the next arc "It gets worse on the branches" : It's about to get a lot worse on the branches Milicent's weapon art: Woolie's about to meet someone with that very same art Gurranq/Maliketh lore theories: Time to check those lore notes cause we're close! My fav one was "The Three Fingers" because it was accompanied by the ominous Caelid music in the background(if you go back to Act 2). The timing on that was perfect.

I was never attached to Blackguard as a character until the end of his quest with the Dungeater. Imagine a world where Christianity is objectively true but there's just this one guy that if he touches you, you get sent to Hell no matter what. And he just runs around doing this to people. It's the dread of getting bit in zombie fiction but infinity-times worse because your soul is lost.

Not only that, but those that come back eventually become fucked up with weird defects and abnormalities like horns that can grow wild, flaking skin, and a lot more. The Loathsome Dungeater changes you're whole state of being simply for doing the deed himself. All in this twisted ideal that after being born deformed that taking up looking like an Omen was the life he wanted others to live by.

It's so interesting hearing them describe and interpret "Maliketh sealing away Destined Death" paired with Gurranq appearing to be suppressing something, and coming up with the idea that Gurranq is Destined Death that is sealed by another character named Maliketh. I love it.

i think the lore in the end is probably harder to parse than the souls series. I don't really think most people "got" it right. Vaati in particular has been making some really crazy conclusions. @@marcellosilva9286

I'm really thankful for these compilations, even tho in total its well over 6 hours of material, it's still way more digestible than trying to go and watch 200+ hours of footage, while still feeling like a pretty full lets play. And it's great for getting back into the mood for the upcoming DLC

In an alternate universe, you enter an Evergaol in Dark Souls. Gwon, King of Fire approaches you. He has the exact same moveset as Gwyn but with 1 extra move and you get Gwyns beard for defeating him.

These videos, specifically the scene of the Erdtree burning hits different now, due to information I got on a random Google search. Because among the answers was the information that the Erdtree, and the “Great tree” which is spoken of in the VERY distant past, are two different trees…and the Erdtree is a PARASITE that’s feeding off of the Lands Between. So seeing it burn down now is a relief instead of an “Oh God…what am I doing…” kind of feeling.

Notice how Radagon disappears and then the sword appears. The description of the sword also hints at it.
