Join us in this episode as we hike in Tallulah Gorge State Park (Georgia). This was quite an enjoyable adventure with ten overlooks, amazing waterfalls and cascades, a 900 foot climb in just 1/4 mile, and a permit-necessary hike across the floor of the gorge that required some helpful hints from a couple of locals to get across the water without tumbling over the falls. Hello Jimmy and Paula, you all continue to amaze me with your adventures! Here are my Top 5: 1. All three falls- so beautiful! Each one unique in its own beauty. 2. Gorge floor - Wow, what an adventure. You made that look easy and I know how difficult it had to be. Going across the river on those rocks, I know I would have been soaked. 3. That climb back up- I was exhausted watching you do it! 4. Tallulah 1882 Teahouse - what a darling place! 5. Paula's Mission America T-shirt. - I need one of those. :)

Thanks, Teresa! We love doing these adventures. This place was so beautiful, and each part of the hike was a challenge. It was a little cool when we were there so we didn't want to get any wetter than we had to. In the heat of summer, we might have been glad to slide down the waterfall into the swimming area. Such an amazing place to spend a day!

This looked like so much fun!. I would have loved to try to get to the bottom of the gorge, then try to get back up. That made my bucket list. Especially since you then get to stand on the overlooks and see where you just were.. Awesome ! I really like Oceana Falls the most. It looks like a dam spillway, but it is natural. So cool ! "Christ is my firm foundation The rock on which I stand".

It really was a lot of fun to hike to the bottom and then go back up and see it from the top. You and Teresa definitely need to plan a trip there. Thanks for encouraging us, Dan! We appreciate it.

We loved the Gorge! Unfortunately we were not able to get permits during our visit as they gorge bottom was closed. You did a GORGEous job sharing your adventures. So much fun!

Thank you! Sorry you didn't get to go to the bottom. We were actually told by one of the park staff that there really was no need to go to the floor unless we were going swimming. We would have been so disappointed if we had chosen to skip it. We had so much fun. You will have to go back and do it!
