There’s a lot of narratives made around GCF in Tokyo/Jikook’s trip together in 2017, like… “it was fanservice, it was meant to be a Vminkook trip, staff was there, bighit edited the video, its just about tokyo not jimin, it’s a video for fans to experience a Y/N date with Jimin”…..so a video with some receipts 🧾 to clear some things up.

I think its just disrespectful to say gcf in Tokyo is fan service or was just bighits idea, Jungkook took the time and money to go on a trip to Tokyo with Jimin because he wanted to. He edited and chose the song for the video, (which he paid the copyright for) chose the clips and probably had a lot of fun with Jimin. Also with the “the song doesn’t mean anything” Jungkook isn’t stupid, he would choose a song to describe the video or someone or even something going on in it, he would know what the songs about. So saying everything they do is fan service is just discrediting their bond, when you can like jikook without shipping them.

I'd like to apologise in advance for the long comment 🙏 This trip is LITERALLY a before/after type of event, as a lot of things changed and happened leading up to it and in the same way a lot of things happened and changed after it. At the very start. JM: had no idea what he was doing but just overtly went along with his emotions. JK: had no idea what was happening and decided to run away THAT SIDE of his emotions (because in general he got along with JM). Between 2014 and 2017 a lot happened in jikook world but can you take a second to imagine how JM must have felt when a JK came to him with a whole trip to japan organised just for the 2 of them? Not only that but going in such a way that he could go for Halloween, go shopping, do things freely ... basically checking A LOT of boxes. Like the amount of planning behind this WASN'T LITTLE. LITERALLY there is nothing you can say to all the anti-theories and the misguided opinion because it is ALL here in this video. All of it and in order. Time is a human construct but as humans we need it. I'm sure we've seen all this clips plenty of times but had no idea in what order they happened; didn't it hit different watching them in order? The fanservice excuse and all the fake justifications to discredit the real symbolism of this Jikook Tokyo trip are even more telling than the Tokyo trip itself. I've heard a lot of people saying and I experienced myself that, traveling together (2 people only) is a great way to find out if they click and if the relationship should go further (into different zone). I think Jikook definitely changed after that trip, maybe become real brothers (in a family) or other things. ps: I'm a Jikooker but I just try to be neutral. My personal experience with traveling is not bad, but our relationship does not go further due to some personal issues, but it surely brings out something we didn't know before. Based on what we saw in Jikook after the trip, things changed, definitely in a positive way.
