27:44 is the sleeper hit here for me. because it's a goofy game and the cultists are goofy guys, but they are still, ostensibly, death cultists puppeteered by horrible macroparasites. the idea of one of them hustling down the hall at an aggrivated little trot hollering "MY JEWEL" just fucking devastates me. like he is completely uninvested in everything else going on. some shit, kidnapped the whoever, doesn't matter. his jewel is on the line here. and unfortunately he is the worst suited he can possibly be to protecting it. he sucks. how did he get here. what sort of life did he lead to arrive at this moment.

i still remember the day my father, leon s kennedy, on his death bed, gave me a brillion dollars and said "i earned this money selling a cat statue to a weird australian guy in spain". "wow.... you did that for me?" i said. "i fucking hate you" he said. then his heart monitor went flat. i spent the entire fortune on youtuber merch.
