What is Big Air?
The X Games Big Air course is a single jump that lives up to its name -- the booter is always one of the largest jumps athletes will face all season.
Depending on the year, X Games Big Air competitors take 4-6 attempts, with their best two jumps comprising their total score. Each trick/jump is judged on a 0-50 scale, so an athlete’s best possible Big Air score is 100.

I’d like to see this broken up into 2 separate events. 1) spinning event, 2) Air Style event. We’re at the point where every jump is going to be 5+ rotations and it’s looking all the same. I wanna see someone tweak an over rotated BS shifty and just hold that 4 seconds solid. Showcase an event where spinning crazy fast in a crouched ball is not the requirement for high points. 😁

Bug air isnt gonna be popular anymore in a couple years cuz its the same ol tricks everytime. Thats why everyone loves knuckle huck because its refreshing

So big air is just who can do the most spins? No style, nothing unique, nothing original? I know what they're doing is insanely hard and impressive but unfortunately it's boring to watch everyone doing the exact same thing.
