Well, the first game is loosely based off of true events that occurred at a Chuck E. Cheese. IIRC, part of the inspiration for the first game was an event that happened in a Chuck E Cheese where a few people got killed.

As a Norwegian American whose main language is English, the laughing at krumkake is valid. It’s a silly word. I make them and gløgg or my friends every Christmas and always feel weird saying the names lol. Honorable mention is «faen ta deg» which means “f*ck you” (literally, “f*ck to you” lol) but sounds like “fun to die!” Good to yell in public when you want to swear but probably shouldn’t or just want to confuse people. :)
