K700 vs Xerion: Say what you will about modernization but tractor CVTs can keep that power down at any speed as long as you adjust acceleration ramp-up to keep the transmission from overheating. Tatra vs 9RT: Pretty damn impressive on the Tatra's part, Even 8x8, doesn't compare to the contact patch of the 9RT but you made it sink into the ground a little. Quad-Trac vs T9: Not a fair contest, if both where tracked, it would've been more even. Deutz-Fahr vs Cayenne: Deutz had torque but the Cayenne had the power. The Deutz looks like some kind of vineyard tractor which have very little power overall. Fendt Vario 930 vs Monster Truck: The opposite occurs. Monster Trucks are built for super high horsepower but very little torque and the Vario transmission with bigger tires beats it handily. K-700 vs T-100: Another unfair contest with steel tracks versus four tires. Fendt vs BMW: RWD? Not gonna win. T-150 vs 6R: Both gave it their all but again, the JD's bigger wheels and CVT gives it an advantage.

There's a reason they are mostly using ropes and not chains. The odds of a rope breaking in half is pretty slim compared to a chain.

@@jarettgros5821 Not sure how you can discern that they are ropes instead of cables but I know for certain there were a couple of chains. I've not used ropes a lot in towing so can't speak from experience on what they will do but can for chain and it will definitely put a hurting on you if not send you directing to the Pearly Gates.

@@jarettgros5821 I would agree. Chains and cables are very dangerous and there are at least two examples in this clip of people using chains. I've had people tell me that chains don''t snap and fly like cables but I know for a fact that is wrong, as I watched it happen. Luckily I wasn't injured but our grader certainly was. Took out the grill and lodged itself a couple inches into the radiator.

4:30 is absolutely wrong (not speaking about chances, just about system how its done). The rope pulls the cars back up, while pulls tractors back down, and BOTH are rear drive... So traction is very affected on both, but oposite. Car is lifted up, and tractor profit at it...

The real winner here is the company who makes the straps because that's a whole lotta power tugging on both ends of it. Also goes to show how grip can dictate everything in these scenarios because I know the SUVs that have beaten the tractors in these video clip will not pull a one or two bottom plow 5 to 8in through the soil

Nobody can deny the power of those old steam tractors! But they burned an insane amount of wood or coal in a full day's of operation. Diesel engines, even the very early designs, are orders of magnitude more efficient. Steam still powers the modern world though, just not in the same way. Outside of wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants, all of the thermal energy from coal and nuclear sources is converted into electricity with the use of efficient high pressure steam turbines.

At one point they had to out of the holes they dug in the ground and try to pull again on flat ground. They went out of the holes in the direction of the JD. If they did it in the direction of the T150, you'd say that the T150 won? XD
