Whoa. Thank you very much for the intro to these, new (to me) artists... These are all, so right on up my alley. I'm not sure how this music isn't mainstream for all people. I have, for a while, loved Damu and Gramatik, and recently explored Dirty Art Club as my latest favorite, and the rest are newly discovered gems to me!

t's great to deconstruct music .. in this case, one hear a vast african american legacy, of the past, resampled and mostly cut and chopped to fit simple bashy beats. It's like that golden black legacy of popular america music, finally exhausted, found a new life, at the hands of samplers and all those producers who came after Jay Dilla. This music is an outcome of technology and hauntology.
