Seriously, how did John Noble never get an Emmy nomination?

I feel like the things that Walter loves most are, in order: 1. Peter 2. Food 3. LSD

I miss this show so much. It was really amazing. Walter was the best thing ever to happen to a sci-fi show, or any show for that matter.

My favourite moment is when he asks Peter if he can ride in the ambulance, and Peter says yes but don't take any of the drugs. And Walter looks so put out, like that was the real reason he wanted to all along. :P

John Noble and his father/son interactions with Joshua Jackson make this show, period.

Funny thing is I think I understand why he brought up that fruit coctail; It's a methaphor on how Broyles appreciates his work translated to his thought process, on how he appreciated that fruit cocktail. To be honest that response was meant to be a compliment.

Man, this show had a hell of a cast

I loved Fringe and still watching over and over, thank you J. J. Abrams!

There were so many things to love about Fringe. Walter being a major part of it, Broyles being another (RIP Lance) but there was also the fact that they didn't faff about with the the two main leads getting together. There was no will they won't they, they fall for each other early on and then struggle through managing their relationship, in the midst of all the things that happen around them. Granted at one point Olivia gets switched with a slightly less appealing Olivia and fools Peter enough that he sleeps with her, more than once. That causes some friction when the real olivia returns. Then of course there's the season where everyone forgets about Peter but of course it's Olivia who remembers first. Then of course they get frozen in Amber and lose what fifteen years of their lives? God Fringe was a good show wasn't it? Just rewatching the pilot right now, intend on watching the entire season.

Walter is just awesome.. Peter also make these moments better with him Broyles - the man in there isn't just a colleague.. He is a friend. Walter after a long pause- I see.... Do you have any mints. Broyles speechless.

Walter is the greatest scientist who ever lived. My favorite moment is when he brings up the fruit cocktail.

These were great but you left out THE best moment when he used the word Vagenda referring to the alternate Olivia after she was outed.

Fringe doesn't have 1/4th the fanbase it deserves sadly. I know people who haven't even heard of the show.

I liked the scene where Walter's sitting with Astrid and they're eating chinese food and they're watching Spongebob and he's like "I like this little sponge individual."

Best character ever. Some of the funniest scenes were between Walter and Broyles cause Broyles was such a serious, no nonsense guy, and Walter a total fruitcake spouting random nonsense. I don't know how Lance Reddick kept a straight face.

Favorite Walter moment…. Walter wants to make custard for Peter’s birthday and he asks if Olivia is coming to the lab, because he “Can’t wait to see the look on her face when she eats my pudding.” Peter- “That’s disturbing.” I’m was always surprised at the things that got past the censors since this was a network show. Peter’s deadpan responses to Walter were one of the best parts of the show.

Just been introduced to the Fringe by my good friend Gray. It has to be one of the best series ever. Walter one of my favourite characters of all time. Wish they would make another series.

I can honestly say from personal experience from a person who has taken over 500 hits of LSD and not that shit they call it nowadays, I'm talking from the early 70's that it does awaken the mind, and unfold untold mysteries of the human psyche. I do recommend this do all who have closed minds. '

just reminds me how great John Nobel is on this show, he can play this, but also be competley believable as the cold Walternate or obsessed 80's Walter

but omg that moment in "the day we died" when walter ate liquorice is so sad i remember crying so much and even days after i'd still get so sad when thinking about it... i miss jean/gene most because she was a great character with a lot of potential and you could really see her character development, great actress, she should've definitely won an emmy or two

What I loved about this show (beside the awesome sci-fy plot) was that there was no moment in the whole show where you can say "his jokes are getting old". Many shows try way too hard to make some character way more funny than they should be like Barney in HIMYM or even Joey in Friends, they are really funny in the beginning, but after few seasons you start to see they start repeating themselves just in different situations. With Walter however, there was no such moment. John Noble was a natural when playing Walter Bishop and delivered excellent performance to his character. Sometimes the acting and body language can be a major factor of how the joke is presented. I've noticed many times when watching Friends or HIMYM when Matt LeBlanc or Neil P. Harris are just saying the joke because they are supposed to say it but don't act it the right way. Major respect to John Noble, I really miss him as Walter, but I hope to see him again in a new show as a main cast.

His character was the best played character I've seen on the screen since Heath Ledger played Joker. This guy should have gotten an Emmy or something for this role but we all know PC Hollywood hate off characters if they are drug consuming characters.
