There is no hero that works everywhere, however, there are some heroes that are more useful across different game modes than others. For a beginner i suggest just doing what the game tells you. If you come across cards or events like 777 where you need to choose one hero over others than feel free to ask for help. There are tons of beginner guides, but in general you cant go wrong with any synergy you choose to go with. Just keep in mind to not over spend on certain synergies, especially as a f2p because some stuffs are a bit hard to get by. Currently, the top 2 synergies are glorians and ethereals, so if you want to think ahead then try building them.
