DS2 really only has good music from its environments, most of the bossusic of forgettable DS2 doesn't have a lot of music to choose from either, Majula is pretty chill, the humming in the tomb in Sunken City is pretty horrifying. Gherman's theme and Hail the Nightmare are pretty good so is Mensis's theme DS3 is full of a lot of good stuff but is missing environmental music if I remember correctly, as for bosses I like most of the list Sekiro too, Ishin Sword Saint still gets me pumped. Else Ring was kinda lacking for me, Radagon/Elden Beast was phenomenal, but I dont remember the other tracks, tbf I used the Sword of Night and Flame in my first build so bosses melted

Strongly agree with almost all of these. Lost me at DS3 tho, that has so many bangers I would’ve picked instead: twin princes, demon princes, abyss watchers, dragonslayer armour etc. Maybe hot take but I think ds3 has the best music out of all of the games.

The only reason I think "For the dark soul" is the best ost in the game is because of how perfectly it captures the games overall theme, it's saddening, depressing even, but when that lady starts singing it's like a little glimmer of hope, a flame if you will. I think there are other osts that are really good and much more uplifting and "epic" sounding, but none of them hit me as hard as "For the dark soul".

Idk why, but I prefer Gherman above Ludwig. It comes close, but his ost just gives so many mixed feelings and somehow makes them good. Fortissax is definetely underrated and one of the top musics, but I'd say Elden Beast / Godskin theme is better. Edit: Forget what I said, Rellana ost is better

Descent. DS3 deserved an in-game nomination, so it would be Gael. Cause that’s the PS4 theme OST. Also ER should deserve something more akin to the game, like the main menu being a nod to demon’s Souls. Cause Lichdragon and the Ancestral Spirit feel different to the rest of the game OST. But enough said, personal opinion is that.
