On the power pack, you can plug it in as you did in video and then, plug the charge cord into the unit and the other end into vehicle. You get power from vehicle while running and then from power bank when vehicle if turned off. You can set the battery protection feature to shut unit off before your vehicle battery gets too low to start too.

I have a 3 year old setpower 21qt. The temp display started failing at 1.5 years, so out of warranty, but still readable. Looks like they may have improved the temp display since that one looks different. No issues with the compressor. Can’t complain too much since I only paid $65 for it.
