try swinging your left hand under and over the fingerboard! I have a similar problem bc my hands are small! but this should at least give you some of the reach that you need :)

Dang, the first and second chord are kind of easy but for the third and fourth one, I wanna cry so bad! Plus, chord switching is still hard for me. Anyway, thank you for the tutorials. It gave me hopes that I could play guitar! :>

It’s relatively easy for me to memorize the chords and it’s positioning but the only hard part is that my fingers are too short and it hurts 😭

@@JiyonKim5 hi, for some reason on the second cord my middle finger makes the 3rd string sound like it's being plucked no matter how I position it. Is there a trick to it? Or can it be that my finger is too fat?

@@michaelportillo5474 hmmm I get what you are saying! I would say, first, make sure your nails are short because if your nails are long, that'll cause it to not be positioned correctly. But once your nails are short, you'd be able to press down on the strings just on your fingertips! try this and lmk if it helps!!

try pressing down on the strings harder! sometimes if it is not pressed down all the way, it might make more of buzzing sounds rather than the actual notes!

if you couldnt reach the third chord its not because you hands are too short its the positiong of your wrist and fingers you can search : how to play the Gmaj7 Chord in guitar by : RockMusicReviewsthis is just my opinion and advice because it happened to me and this is what solved it for me hope it helps you too!

That Gmaj7 is challenging, however it's proven to be a good exercise for my fingers and is getting better... I also do a finger exercise while sitting at my desk during the day... Let me find it and I'll post it...

hey guys! okay so here are some tips that hopefully help out!! 1. tune your guitar to standard tuning! I have a video made that goes step by step on how to tune your guitar -> kzfaq.info/get/bejne/obyiiMt13p6bm2w.html 2. make sure you are pressing down the correct fret on the correct strings 3. make sure your guitar is set up so that your left hand is the hand that is pressing down on the strings and your right hand is the one strumming! if you have it set the other way, the number of the strings (strings 1-6) will go in the opposite direction and you will end up pressing down the wrong frets.

Everyone in my family tells me I have “piano fingers” I play piano, but my fingers are so skinny and weak, I can’t press down hard enough on guitar 🥺

it takes time!! try to do finger exercises to make your finger muscles stronger! u got this! or you could always start on the ukulele! the strings on ukulele are less hard and easier to press down :)

I think my biggest tip would be to know each chord in and out!! so make sure you know where each finger goes on the string from memory. Then once you know all the chords, try slowly transitioning from one chord to the next (with 2 chords). Then speed it up and then later add more chords to the set!

Second day practicing the guitar and this song immediatly came into mind as the one I wanna learn first. I'm still struggling how to transistion from chord to chord and managing to place my fingers on the right strings.
