Pastechi is a breakfast staple in Curacao. Not everyone eats it regularly, but there are few that dislike it. Every now and then every Curacaoan needs a good pastechi.
A pastechi is a dough that is filled with meat or cheese and then fried. Chicken, minced beef and salt fish (bakijou in Papiamentu) are the most popular meat fillings.

Best pastechi we had last week was in Willemstad at the Batidos food truck near the floating market 👍🏻 Also surprisingly, we found good pastechi at the Liquor factory....

Haven't tried any of them. Got to try the Liqueur factory one. Many people told me it's good. They said it was expensive too.

Golden Gate in Saliña has the best Pastechi's and jonny cakes in town! Btw, I love your english! It's very fluent and natural....

For me it was on Salina next to the printing company. There I found the most delicious.

It is located in Otrobanda at the corner of Breedenstraat and Frederickstraat, right next to the post office. Here's the post office on Google maps: goo.gl/aoD7Zh. It is a red place with loud music coming from it.

I kid you not the best pastechi was when I had to work in prizon in the cafeteria they serve these larger than average pastechi and Jhonny Cakes you should try them

Porta e lo gana si nos bai wak e miho pastechi di Korsou. Nos a wak Otrobanda so, den e video aki. Henter Korsou ta un tiki mas difisil.

***** I agree WTC had some of the best pastechis ever! I don't know how it is now, but as a kid i would HAVE to HAVE the cheese pastechi there whenever we went for a movie screening or any type of expo. The next best spot would be at hollandse bakkerij...it's not really the traditional fried pastechi, but the one baked in puff pastry. the cheese was creamy and had a slightly spicy tone to it. hmmmm now i'm feeling nostalgic
