Had been considering Babolat RBEL Touch or MNSTR Power (MNSTR Touch seems like it might be too light) but am now also looking at Joola Radius or Vision. Thanks for doing this video but would love to see something on how the Joola paddles compare. Thanks.

@@TotalPickleball Thanks for the reply. I actually got both the RBEL Touch and Joola Radius and played with them in order to figure out what worked best for me. I was pretty sure going into it that I'd choose the Joola. In playing with them I was leaning toward the Joola as well. But, the more I played with the Babolat RBEL Touch the more I felt it was giving me much better feedback and feel for my shots than the Joola Radius. I also felt it was comparable to the Radius in terms of spin and control/touch/resets. Ultimately chose to keep the Babolat RBEL Touch and so far I love it!

Have always used paddletek wave pro……great paddle….trying to find the difference between wave pro and reign pro..
@lindsaysmith4486
@lindsaysmith4486 2 жыл бұрын
At practice last night someone had the wave pro and I tried it for one point. Loved it! I'm an advanced beginner and I'm now much into the powder side. I will Crack a return deep if I'm able too. But I like the dinking and touch aspect / slowing the faster players down aspect and forcing them to play lighter than they want to..the wave pro was just lovely! Ive been using an onyx and it's not bad but sometimes I find my shots going out and not understanding why they are so far out because my angle felt good. The wave pro in just one point of playing felt like my shots were landing where they should.

@@lindsaysmith4486 I have used one for three years….I really like it…I want to try a carbon paddle sometime just to feel the difference…the electrum is suppose to be the best carbon paddle for touch from what I understand. Also paddletek is suppose to come out with something new late summer.

As a tennis player, I have thus far only used 16 1/2" paddles. If price is no object, I have hit with the Joola Hyperion CFS 16mm and really liked it. It has similar control, spin and power to the Electrum Model E, but the Joola seemed more forgiving/lively on hits near the edge or top of the paddle. I experimented with a few "budget" paddles in the $100 range, but did not find anything that wowed me. I am currently playing with one of those budget paddles, the One Shot Pro Shot. But my next paddle will likely be the Joola.

In case you didn't know, the 17" includes the handle, so any additional length of the handle is taken away from the paddle face. Anyways, I've used the Vulcan V550 and it's real nice, super whippy and powerful.

The grit in the Ben johns is not a highlight of the paddle. It’s well documented that it wears out after only a few games. And the Engage MX is not a control paddle, that thing is one of more powerful paddles out there.

The grit wore off of my Ben Johns in less than a month. Terrible. The top of my Electrum E cracked when my partner and I clashed paddles in the middle. The edge guard cracked as well. Cheap plastic edge guard. Also, the handle is square so I had to shave it down to a more rectangular shape. And the grip is plastic-y and slippery. For $179, this thing needs some serious re-engineering. Both paddles also had some pretty serious dead spots in the corners of the paddle face. And the Electrum is too heavy to add much lead tape to try to improve its sweet spot.

@TotalPickleball Жыл бұрын
"Touch" is the quality of a pickleball paddle to provide precise control and feel when making soft shots. Paddles with better touch are designed to offer a high degree of sensitivity, allowing players to accurately place shots and apply the appropriate amount of spin, power or finesse. -TP
