Luka Doncic is making his 5th #NBAAllStar appearance. Drafted as the 3rd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Slovenia, Luka has four All-NBA First Team Selections and was named #KiaROY for the 2018-19 season. This season, he is averaging 33.6 PPG, 8.5 RPG and 9.3 APG for the Dallas Mavericks.

I'm a Laker fan, but Luka is my favourite player to watch. I completely agree. I'm reluctant to say the colour of his skin has anything to do with it, but after Stephen A. and Kendrick Perkins made such a big deal about only white players getting to be MVPs after Jokic won it twice in a row, anything positive either Jokic or Luka do gets downplayed.

Mvp titles means zero anyway. Derrick Rose and Steve Nash and a bunch of others for example would even crack top 10 today and I dont wanna see salty tears about how it's easier now. The amount of scoring has gone up, but league got way way way more competitive than it ever was and it's not even close. This season will probably end with the smallest seed diff. Between teams in history. I can see west having 10 teams above .500 when it ends

@@johnwild8217 maybe it used to mean something...but seems like too much politics or favoritism are involved. The MVP title is unfortunately not always "objective". The fact that the voters themselves admit there's "voter fatigue" means that it can't be trusted. The only MVP title that is hard to manipulate is the Finals (playoffs) MVP. But the season MVP is questionable. They sometimes get it right. But there's no guarantee. I'd be quite surprised if Doncic wins anything tbh. Even though he's an absolute monster on the court and pulling off insane stats...

@@clasifi1 yeh, but finals mvp is even more subjective and non important to me when comparing great players. You can have a random underdog team that is well rounded and equal and they win the title.. so their best guy averaged 20 5 5 and got finals mvp. That doesnt mean he cracks even top 20 of best players in the league. Having individual awards in a team based sport is stupid to me and im not talking just about basketball, but all team based sports. Way to many subjective factors. The only somewhat legit individual stat in basketball is free throw %
