For anyone interested. Majority of his set is Isolations, Waving and Tutting. A small amount of Popping and he never did any Locking. Also "Pop Locker" isnt really a thing in the community. Still a really good demonstration of a bunch of different styles 👍

@EG-cs3wv2 жыл бұрын
I think (and I know that i could be wrong) Popping is not a good name for the style because is not actually based on "pop" technique. This is a confusion due the name that emerges with the Electric Boogaloos. Yes, pop is a characteristic, but waving is part of the style with isolations, tutting, scarecrow, etc. Pop lockers did "the robot" too with muscular tension control, isolations, dime stop technique... There is a discussion about how to name all the style. Boogaloo? Popping? Waving is another style then? What about that "umbrella concept"? Is Animation Poppin too?
@Tabeezey2 жыл бұрын
@@EG-cs3wv theres definitely a lot of easy naming mix ups that can happen and its by no means easy to categorize things. Best bet is to find/get in touch with any of OG's who are still around and they are more than willing to clear things up for people interested in it. Popping, waving, tutting, breaking, locking, chicago footwork, boogaloo and animation are all different styles. The scarecrow concept falls under popping. Honestly theres too much depth to even begin to cover in a youtube comment section 😅

I still show this in my classroom every year. We talk about talent vs. training, and how there is really NO limit to achievement if one has dedication and a love / passion for what they do.
