@@lancesagabaen1150 Technically Professor X aka Charles Xavier is the true leader....he basically formed this club & built a sanctuary for the mutants with the help of Magneto & Wolverine was the last to join the x men team though they started the franchise glorifying him from the beginning instead of giving the same importance to other mutants as well with character development.

Why do some people here feels weird that Marvel Studios promoting Dark Phoenix? They've done this since X-Men: First Class.

Because in the past phoenix was not used as one of the biggest powers in the world of marvel.phoenix as it was excluded. It seemed less appropriate if phoenix was put in such a position. Because phoenix was actually the strongest entity in the marvel ... it is stronger and more epic.

I think it’s up for younger generations to enjoy new, pro-marvel x-men, while, I believe, there are many people like me who will just not be able to accept someone new after McAvoy, Fassbender, Jackman, Hault and all these other actors, who starred in this franchise, because they’ve been around for so long and became, in some way irreplaceable in the context of the characters they’ve played. Despite the problems and mistakes, Dark Phoenix left me pretty much satisfied and I realized that this is it. And to be honest I don’t feel like I even need new x-men movies, which , on one hand, is sad, and on the other - not so much. I was happy to witness the story of this universe and was always happy to return

Yeah I grew up with the 2000 X-Men then grew to love the 2010s X-Men, I don't want other actors playing this iconic characters, if MCU brings to the screen characters that weren't in the Fox franchise or characters that weren't done well then that's cool, but I don't want a new Professor X, or a new Magneto or a new Wolverine and I won't watch that.

iirc, it was announced that the whole X-Men would be recast, with the exception of Ryan Reynold's Deadpool (of course, duh) I think if Hugh Jackman was still in the X-Men, he won't be recast either
