I agree it's much better for Nintendo seeing their big franchises blowing up in sales compared to their Wii counterparts. Smash Ultimate is over 20M compared to only 13M for brawl. Zelda at around 20M on the switch compared to only 7M on the Wii. Just goes to show Nintendo isn't just for casuals!

@@salamencelvx yeah it's a great game and all but it's undoubtedly more for casuals. At lot of people didn't take the Wii very seriously bc it "wasn't for gamers" Not that I agree with that

@@salamencelvx well I'm saying those sales mostly came from casuals. Nintendo had very little third party support on the Wii bc of that. Also, the Wii didn't exceptionally well- in its first 4 years then basically died out, mostly bc it relied on a craze to survive (motion controls)

That depends on if it's an evergreen title or not (if it consistently sells well after launch.) I actually did my calculations and expected them to be at 28.73M and 27.14M respectively (mk overperformed and AC underperformed). But we'll have to see how it does this holiday. It also could be a Mario Odyssey situation where it does get pass, but makes its way back up!

It definitely will. Almost 30 million copies sold and the game isn’t even a year old yet.

That's true. Plus the fact that Nintendo doesn't update sales figures for games that either aren't in their top 10 or haven't sold 1M units in that fiscal year, meaning those sales figures are outdated. It wasn't as successful as Splatoon, but 2M for a new IP is nothing to scoff at

Well the problem is that whenever it comes to Nintendo exclusives, Big N tend to compare sales numbers to Mario and zeldas' ones. When it's far behind it will be considered as failure and unworth investing sequels for. Where other third parties tend to consider milestones like 1 or 2 million as a success, Nintendo sees those numbers as dissapointing. I remeber that Platinum games were extremely happy and considered the 1 million made by astral chain as a big success for them considering the fact that it's a new license introducing new IPs and new mechanics. However,And paradoxally , Nintendo (with an homologue situation to Platinum) considers ARMS as a failure with almost 3 Million copies sold. Moreover, Pikmin games, F-zero games and others have always been considered as failures despite doing 1.5 and 2 Millions in every mainline entry. Some franchises having those numbers were killed despite being successful for ages (StarFox, F-zero and 2DMetroid), and others are being threatened like Pikmin and Metroid Prime. So yeah, Nintendo are a bit demanding when it comes to sales numbers of their franchises to the point that they don't give a shit about any fanbase while killing franchises. They have never been there to feed fans, they know that fans are there to feed them with what ever they throw at them, even rubbish Mario or Pokémon games.

@@adamsrankings8860 i hope so it is not that hard the third entry has to be related to 3D.The only thing they have to add to keep everybody satisfied is A 3d level maker and add all the other things the game has. And boom 💥🤯 But being objective the 3rd entry is going to release like in 2023

@@adamsrankings8860 most people are watching on 60hz displays, so you can use 60, 30, 20, 15fps without problems, if you use 48, it has voids of 1/60th of a second so it looks like 30 but worse because it has stutter. hope i explained it right :)
