Good question! Not too worried about the extra foot traffic as it is out of season and the deer will come back. However, if there was very little food and a harsh winter and we kept bumping them around looking for sheds it could have a negative effect. Most years we do not have harsh winters and we have food so it’s not really a concern for us.

You bring up a great point, we are responsible as outdoorsmen to be asking ourselves these questions any time we get outdoors. It sounds corny but, "Will we be making a positive or negative effect on the wildlife in the area?" I won't dive into details but; Is there a positive effect on wildlife from shed hunting? - No Is there a negative effect on wildlife from shed hunting? - Not from these hunts but it does happen Hopefully more shed hunters consider minimizing the negative impacts we impose and we will try addressing the issue in our next shed hunting video.
