Stainless clutch line and clutch delay valve removal made a night and day difference for me..

The dog bone is No.1 in my opinion. Also a Short Shifter & shift bushings which tightened the shifts greatly. I can also recommend my purchase of a weighted BFI shift knob a lil pricey but trust well worth, every shift theres a metal click sound 👍🏽

Agree, Dog bone cleans up a lot of the slop when shifting and should be one the first things to consider

Thanks for the video, didn't even know about the spring, probably gonna go rip mine out right now. One that I can personally attest to is the boomba short shift insert. My brother bought it for me and it was my second mod ever and i still have it in the car. Reduces throws 28% i believe ...and it feels phenomenal.

Interesting on the clutch stop. When shifting fast I've never buried the clutch to the floor. I just stab it and shift.

Dsg was incredible, test drove one 5 separate times (was my first time in a volkswagen period) and fell in love with the gti. Then i bought the manual because ive always wanted to learn to drive manual. #noregerts haha

Just now looking into the dogbone and inserts to help alleviate the wheel hop at hard acceleration. How was your overall vibrations with the inserts?

Whenever I put it in first it can feel rough sometimes or 1st to 2nd it feels rough to put the knob in gear and I heard it could be synchros but I was thinking it could potentially be something to do with whats below the shift boot? not entirely sure any information would help thank you

Clutch delay value. Shift slower unless you remove it

i have a huge problem with my second gear even after a new shifter. i thought i was just missing it but i can literally NEVER get it the first time even if i slam it it’s like something blocks it and i have to get it second try it’s so frustrating

I would go for 6mt again since my other car is auto. Dsg is quicker and all but it’s not always about being the fastest. And Crank walk is not really common imo.

@@JewelCity1 I’m just yanking your chain. Still good tips, I just genuinely expected suggestions of how to clean up shifter slop, not clutch engagement and such. Still enjoy your content, just whining/trolling while I’m at it.

@@DakotaWester a good weighted shift knob makes a noticeable difference for slop. If you’re up for it, diesel geek super pin helps tighten up too

@@JewelCity1 knob is one of my next purchases. Super pin is something I’ve looked at, not 100% sure if I want to tear up the console for it. At least not yet. I’m still pretty much stock and haven’t really bothered tearing up the streets yet.
