😊🙏 OMG! Genuine Peranakan dishes from the Joo Chiat area! Brought back many fond memories of Tanjong Katong of the 1990s when was stationed there! Still remembered the old Tanjong Katong Shopping Mall which had many delicious road side restaurants that catered the many Penang , Peranakan & Hong Kong style dishes! Quite busy after 6pm! Can walk over via a overhead bridge to Parkway Parade Shopping Centre too! Thank You So Much CNA for sharing the short version! 😊🙏

She isn't wrong in her statement. It is indeed a dying art. Good authentic peranakan dishes cooked by real peranakans are hard to come by in this day and age.

that is news to me... people all over knew foie gras, sushi, chow mein, pizza, ... ask for bakwan or capcay or cendol anywhere in the world people would give you blank stare.. how is it overrated ?

@@REX4340 exactly my point... how is it overrated...i mean if you say sushi is overrated i understand. sushi tei is a very popular sushi chain. but peranakan food ? nobody in the world knows ... so how again is it in your word..."SO OVERRATED"? come again ?
