Experimenting on one ski led me to the conclusion that perhaps ski instruction should focus first on developing this skill. As the narration states, turning on one ski is impossible unless you are in PERFECT balance. It took many, many attempts but it went like this: straight run on one ski, then getting the confidence to bend the knee, and finally the epiphany of the balance “sweet spot.” The beauty of mastering each transition is that it transfers to the two legged skiing. You will be more poised and less fatigued as a bonus.

Robert Cabrera is really hard to do it, but for me was important easy slope almost flat, also leg muscles are wery fast tired beacose is all weight is on one leg.

But when turning left, where the ski on uphill side, he had to put weight on outside edge that is not usually done when using both skis

pole is needed like on movie :) but if you wanna make it harder you can try without pols
