Here we offer a brand new 10 minute long crash party video, where this season's contestants in Crash of the Year, which was presented by the insurance company Hedvig, are gathered.
This winter's Crash of the Year competition 2022 collected 86 clips on various crashes. There were brave clips on failed attempts at backflips and doubles, collisions on the piste, countless variations on catastrophic drops, jumps out of Alp house in order to impress the opposite sex, hard falls against the steel railings in the park, soft powder rolls and finally miserable attempts to like Jesus float on the surface over a large pool of water, just in this case with skis underfoot, wearing 1980s equipment.

throwing something out of your hands while in the air can help you rotate, but you would need heavier weights for it to do something

That’s not really how it works. with skis it ads a lot of weight and there’s a whole different way of doing one, so it takes practice. most of them probably have done one on a trampoline since you have to be able to pull the weight of the skis around rather than just a normal backflip These are specifically fails, so these were just some rough ones of them not getting it, rather than showing them land it.

I can do them fine on a trampoline, I'm not trying them on the slopes with sticks on my feet... lol

It’s easier to do a backflip on skis because doing frontflips requires momentum from your legs but doing backflips requires less momentum. But lots could go wrong if it’s not enough momentum. (Or too much momentum)
