Best Skincare Pairings That Work Better Together

We tend to focus alot on what ingredients can't be mixed, when in reality, there are very few that actually conflict. What's more exciting to me are the ingredients that work better together than alone. Certain combinations of formulas can boost one another's performance and make a notable difference in better and faster results. I've talked about all of these combinations in previous videos but really wanted to highlight my favourite pairings for age defense, repair, pigmentation, skin tone and acne prone skin!

This is it for me. I watch one UK one for fun... I think she is sweet and loved her hair tips during quarantine, but, seriously have never taken any skincare information besides from HERE and ALSO bought the make up as I also love minimal with a BOLD LIPPY when feeling powerful! I’ve bought most of the lipsticks you’ve warn as well because we are both, shall we say, “selective”. I’d rather have fewer skincare and make up items I love and swear by then a ton of garbage throw always. Thank you for saving my skin and money and sanity! My skin is FRAGILE!

I’ve been using the MaeLove Nia serum before my rx Retin-A for a while now, and it’s made a big difference in my tolerance of the Retin-A. I also use SPF every day, so I already had the combo with Vit C in my routine. I have the PC Azelaic booster, so I’ll try to incorporate that in after my Vit C on any PIE. I also find using my PC BHA in combo with my Vit C (always LAA formulations) works very well for acne or brightening. I recently purchased the Light Salon from your video (thanks again!!), and I’m absolutely in love with it. I will definitely be picking up one of the essences or toners you recommenced, or might even make my own. Thank you for the information on that! As always, wonderful video with great info, Renee. We appreciate you!

@@gothamista Hi there I'm a guy 37 with the same skin type (dehydrated by harsh product, or over exfoliation, and irritated sensitive skin. Combo in the cheeks dry in forehead t zone and oily in nose where only area I get blackheads while cheeks only slightly oily. So far without a professional derm although I would love don't have the money so its trial and error, so having your advice is awesome and so far from experience I like licarice root salicic acid alantoin and tee tree off the top of my head . I will subscribe if you get back to me with some suggestions. I'm interested in trying a pha exfoliate for daily radiance and dead skin cell debris removal as I had before although successful unsuccessful sometimes as mechanical silicone brushes can be damaged by different thicker non gel or granule cleansers hence wanting a daily chemical exfoliant as pha12% or dermalogica's daily refoliant could work post cleanser normally or before the cleanser for my skin type then tonic moisturizer spf sunscreen (from daily exfoliate) with lastly maybe a spot treatment and hydroxitone or eye cream. Some things like moisturizer are new to me as I don't like to have alot of products on my skin rather a light custom noncomedogenic liquid, serum, clay, or cream usually in that order of thickness. Hate when my cheeks are dehydrated or else looking like strawberries

I got the boost LED face mask as per your recommendation and I'm really loving the results I'm seeing, even after just a few days. I never really bothered researching what LED does for your skin since I thought it mainly targeted wrinkles and signs of ageing, but when you explained how it can help with inflammation, skin tone and texture I was sold - thank you! And you bet that I ordered the Isntree green tea toner right after I saw your Instagram post about using green tea before your red light therapy treatment - still waiting for that parcel from yesstyle to arrive though. Hope you have a great day, and thank you for your informative content, I'm very grateful :-)

When you have a lot of the pairings on the list! I use PC Azelaic acid + niacinamide with Rx Tret. My skin loves it.

I have every ingredient you talk about, my biggest issue in general is the order. Between VitC/AzAc and AzAc/Ret, Niacinimide, even AlphaArb and everything else...when it’s in “toner/essence form or even oil or cream it’s so much easier to choose, but man these serums are tripping me up!

Excellent and useful tips as always, thank you! I’ve followed behind on your retin A journey and have taken your advice. I just started curology, I’m on my second week 🤞. They gave me a 0.009% which is amazing. I prepped my skin using Paulas choice azalaic acid for a few months prior to starting, I’ve also used retinaldehyde for the past year and just recently ordered the PC niacinamide, so I’m super excited. I can’t wait to see what it does 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! (Paulas choice should give you a free lifetime supply of their products 😩😂)

Wow, you are ALL set and so well prepped! This is almost exactly what I did and the 0.009% ended up being a breeze with serious results! Pls keep me posted ok?

@@Hawaiianorchid I have a little handheld LED gadget that you use in sections at three minutes each. I try to use it every night, but of course its more like everyother day. I hope you like the combo as much as I do!

@@awholesomediscipline6347 nice! How long have you been using yours? A few weeks or months? I want to do it every night but I’m not sure if it’s good. So I’m just doing 3x a week

@@Hawaiianorchid I have been using it for about 6 months now, but with the green tea toner for about 2 months. 3x a week with a maskign device for 10-20 minutes should be plenty. Just remembering to do it is the thing!

Hey Carina! I am on week 2 and my face is going through things 😂. Definitely feeling some side effects as it's significantly stronger than anything I've gotten used to! However, the texture is unbeatable wow, will definitely be talking about it in my next routine!!

Gothamista You will get through it Renée! Hang in there :) I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Altreno, the vehicle seems beautiful but also the hydrating ingredients! I currently began Tret Micro 0.04% after a few years on Adapelene 0.1% so I’m currently take it slow just once a week.
