Probably because they really don’t know how to ski a pair of skis and do a real evaluation. That Takes decades of skiing experience…which these young fellers just don’t have. Been skiing since I was 5…been on the boards 56 years now and I find it hard to tell the difference between skis of the same type.

Mirus cor falls on its face in soft snow..... absolutely slays everywhere else, so fun. Not an all mountain ski though, my go to for spring conditions or old snow.

I think the qst 106's from salomon are pretty good for all mountain skis. Can't say I have any complaints about them other than I wish I could use them more

I have to get on some M6 this season.. I demoed the Mantra 102 last year and I love that ski.. I would get them but I already have Enforcer 104 Free, Stockli 105 SR, and DPS F100 RP..

Hey there, great review. I have been eyeing out the Mirus cor, demo'ed 178 last winter and going just demo again to be sure, what do you reckon, 173 or 178, I am about 174. strong skier and ski anything everything and play in park. I am skiing a rossi sender 104 in 173 atm, thanks.

In the East the Kendo 88 may be a better tool for the usual firm, fast and frozen conditions. The new Titanal frame is Tailored to each length so they get firmer as they get longer to support the heavier skiers using the longer lengths or the shorter lengths are softer for lighter skiers.
@aidenlaflair68586 ай бұрын
do you have these, are they worth the investment?
@26adrianl166 ай бұрын
@@aidenlaflair6858 I have them and I usually ski in the east with these icy conditions and I can assure you that they do rip. They even ski well on ice and on groomers you can lay them down so easily. But the only downside is that they're a bit heavy and thin so in a bit of powder it's kind of hard to steer but overall its worth it especially in the east.

Funny most other reviews of the new Rustler suggest its a belnd of old R9 and a Bonafide. Less approachable, stiffer and stronger. Its polazrized some, especially finesse and lighter skiers. I bought a pair and have been on Kore 99, Kastle MX98/99, FX95, Mantras etc - all chargers or with more metal. To me the R9 in 186 at 6ft 185lbs is approachable but it holds up to hard skiing and only starts to fall apart when its either very high speed and rough or very heavy chop - partial metal and light weight can only give it soo much power. It carves any shape turn and is a joy but it just kills it in terrian that require quickness and it floats very well for its width. As a first real ski? Sure if your athletic and dont go too long.

You didnt talked about how the mirus cor does in the park... and it is a true twin tip (aside from the swallow tail). It jumps really well, wouldnt recommend to hit 50 feet with them but they are superb for someone who enjoys rides in the park but doesnt need a dedicated park ski. The mantra is NOT to be recommended for everybody it is for someonw who primarily enjoys carving on groomers at high speed, but wants to dip everywhere in the mountain. It doesnt flex when you dont go fast, so people who likes small turns at medium speed shouldnt ride this. Bent chetler line... are incredible floaters, looks incredible too! But dont recommend this to someone who wants to carve guys come on its totally ridiculous! It is meant for powder and park. Anyone who likes to load his skis is gonna push through them easily. Someone who wants to carve and powder should be pointed towards the atomic maveric. Recommending this to someone who will never land switch is a bad recommendation. "This ski is for a skier" god damn you guys are the less serious reviewers 😂

I have the mirus cor, the blaze 106 and the mantra 96 and you nailed it. The mantra is very hard to ski, you need to be on a good day, I do crossfit 6 days per week and I play rugby and still, if I'm not "awake" I won't take the M6 because it rips you apart if you're not in a tip top condition. Only for the braves !

Looking to replace '08 Gotama (106 waist). Starting to feel flat and lifeless. Looking at the Mantra 102 or M6 as a replacement. Only concern is the 96 waist. Any thoughts? 6'2" 205lbs advanced skier in Colorado moguls, powder, steeps and whatever connects them. Rarely over 12" powder, but could bring the Goat's for those days.

The Rossignol Sender 90s I bought for $495 with bindings are actually super nice. Even nicer if you don't want to spend a ton, and you're a person that loves groomers for green/blue/black. Idk how it would do on moguls or anything crazy, but I love them for my first 10 days using them.

I've been skiing for 14 years and consider myself very skilled. I'm 1.83m tall and weigh 95kg. I'm currently considering the "Blackops 98" or the "Blackcrows Captis." Any other or better suggestions?

where do you think the reckoner 112 lands against the bent and the arv skis, ive been thinking about getting the bent 120, 116 jj, and reckoner 112. Well put about all ski reviews having a short to no con list. I suspect that there is a lot of competition out there where 15-20 years ago it was either of the 3 ski mags that were prevalent then. Now the testers are actually younger and happy to be even receiving a pair from any company and certainly don't want to "upset" anyone of them as they fear not getting any next year from that manufacturer which can could turn into chain reaction interms of views. They fear not being given a free pair next year(as would I in all fairness). So you have to really listen now as they won't spell it out. In all fairness to this channel the above was a generic statement about ski reviews in general. Not this channel in particular.

Say you live in Ontario Canada where there’s no real mountains and no powder, and you’re too old for freestyle shit, and you mostly follow your kids around on groomers, but you want sick ass looking skis, could you ride the Bent 120s and still enjoy yourself or would that width make skiing groomers significantly harder and less enjoyable??
